As an Oahu local, if you want the BEST malasadas, go to Pipeline Bakery in Kaimuki! Trust me, it's the best, fluffiest, non-oily malasadas you'll ever have :)
  • @yume8900
Yeah another food tour! I always love these videos! Especially since I like traveling! Also for mom: We love you so much! Thank you for taking care of Mei Mei and always be willing to try new food!
  • @msliz1029
So many good choices. Poi factory (squid luau 🤤 pork laulau, & ice cream to die for 😭!!), Rainbow (not mentioned here) Helena’s, uncle clays, and Giovanni are my FAVORITE 😭! Missing Hawaii now💕We absolutely love your vids. We just got back from SF and did so many of your recommendations 🤤! All were amazing!
  • @Sunnykiwi07
The videos are always so good that I've gotten to the point that I just click 'like' before I even watch them. I'm never disappointed. Thank you for taking us along on your food journey once again.
  • @kahanalei
So happy to see that you got to hit up some good local grinds, girl! I miss the ono food from Hawaii and your vid is so nostalgic to those of us from Hawaii!
  • My family is from Hawaii and it is my absolute favorite place to eat. I don't think I've had a single bad meal while there, but I could be biased because I'm always eating with family while there and seeing them is the greatest joy of all 🥰

Oahu local born and raised. I feel that anyone coming to islands should give poke a try. And it’s po-kay not po-kee lol. Foodland poke is a cheap go to that all locals bring to our get togethers. Tamuras is another good spot for quick and quality. And my favorite has to be off the hook in Manoa Valley. Super fresh really good flavors and really reasonable prices. I recommend the wasabi furikake and get the poke bowl with sushi rice!
  • I love the Waiahole Poi Factory, the poi, lau lau, chicken long rice, and ice cream is amazing! Also Leonard's malasadas are heaven (my favorite is the hapuia flavor). Gosh I miss Hawaii so much!
  • P E R F E C T TIMING! Im going to Oahu in 2 weeks, there’s so many food options. You gave me some places to add to my list! Thank you Mei Mei ❤️
  • Pepper Water has no vinegar because Hawaiians did not want raw fish cooked by the vinegar. It also does not change the flavor of other foods. The pepper is a variant of the Tabasco chili pepper that now grows wild in Hawaii. It is a bit smaller in size than the derivative plant and may be a bit hotter. Paul Marin apparently introduced them into Hawaii before Louisiana began the mainland's pepper sauce usage, likely getting them from Central America.

Omg I’m from Oahu and I loved this video so much!! Please keep coming back I love seeing you enjoy the food here💗

If you ever watch the YouTubers 'ordinary adventures' , when they were in Hawaii, she bought the Chili Pepper Water that was being sold at Rainbow Drive-In thinking it was a drink...she did have some doubts when opening the lid to drink it, but persevered by drinking it straight ! Should have seen her expression afterwards...priceless !

Came back from Oahu a week half ago. Watching your videos brings back memories & craving for the food! I highly recommend Halekulani's Sunday buffet brunch. Gotta get the coconut cake. They are famous for it. So light & not sweet. You will not disappoint. The brunch has impeccable service, food & ambiance. Afternoon tea at Westin's Veranda Moana Surfrider if you feel like taking a break from shopping. You can get a table really close to beach & do some ppl watching. The food is excellent & service too.
  • @jinxiaoyun
watching your videos brings me so much joy, thank you for what you do! ❤
  • Cant wait until part 2! Love your videos especially with your mom.
