I'll Be Here (Original Song) performed on Grafton Street by Kieran Le Cam

Published 2023-12-09
I wrote this song in the USA while on my first long trip there. I was in Nashville, and feeling disappointed with the reality that it was going to be more of a struggle to succeed than I imagined. I started writing the verses because I felt that way, and later realized I couldn't put a sad song out in the world, so assumed the position of a person giving hope to the sad person in the verses, once I'd found my spirit again, and wrote the choruses from that perspective. Now that I've finished it, it's one of my favorite to sing. I hope you enjoy it. And I really mean the song.

Much Love,

Help me change the world!

LYRICS:

Please
Love come back to me
I've been giving out
More than I carry

Please
Life come back to me
I been spending way
Too much energy
Got no currency

When your life is off track
Over your shoulder looking back
Well it's alright
I'll Be Here

I'm trying to make a deal
With the Almighty
But He
To me
Has lost his appeal
He's an absentee
But here I am
Real

When you feel stretched too thin
Stuck on the outside, looking in
When it's alright
I'll Be Here

I'll be watching out for you
It's okay to feel blue
It's alright

(singing interlude)

When you're losing the fight
Can't see the light
Or the Sunrise to end the night
Well it's alright

I'll Be Here

I'll Be Here (love come back to me)
I'll be Here (love come back to me)

I'll be Here

Appreciate you putting up the lyrics. Everybody needs a rock in their life that they can climb onto when needed. As for the future, sometimes trying to be the best you everyday is enough. Sometimes those opportunities can find us when least expected. Music wise, Grafton is a pretty good spot for that to happen. Best wishes for a joy filled Christmas

Riveting, haunting. That's for your voice and delivery of this song. The lyrics are a cut above that.
