Does this mean that when I go fishing tomorrow, they are precooked?
  • You want to know what a heat dome was? How about elementary school in the '50's in Louisiana. No fans back then. We made paper fans but they didn't last long.

What part of ‘record high’ do these trolls not understand? Will they ever acknowledge that record highs year after year mean that there is a warming trend?

First off, hi to Tara Molina. I remember her from WEWS in Cleveland.

The south might say "How is 90 record breaking" or "How is 90 `excessive' heat." Well, you gotta remember that the midwest and the northeast isn't the south. We 're more wintery. The south is more summery. Every January I wish and dream for 90.

I live on a mountain in the northeast. We used to regularly have frost warnings well into June. In fact, about 16 years ago we had a full on snow storm in mid June that dumped inches of snow on us.

It's been 80's all month. It'll be 90's before it actually hits Summer (got a few more days of Spring, guys.) And it's doing this on the regular now. I've got flowers from three different times of the season all blooming at once because they don't know what the hecks going on. I've got fireflies I shouldn't see until August cluttering up my windows at night. Sounds all nice and pretty til I think - how long are They going to survive this? When am I going to see them not show up at all because they can't survive here anymore?

But please, go on about "but it's just summer, duh." Ya'll are like frogs in a pot of boiling water, convinced the water is just a little warm, but you're all fine ... until the moment you're cooked.

Pretty sure they called it a Wet Bulb last year but too many people didn't know what that meant. So they went with a more classic name for it this season
