NOTE: This is the full broadcast portion of the interview. It was continued in-studio with an additional 58-minute discussion which is available on our 86-minute DVD.

Shamans see the world as made up of vibrations, using resonance between individuals to effect healings. In part one of this two-part series, Fred Alan Wolf discusses his efforts to explain shamanic realities in terms of modern physics. He suggests that shamans interact with parallel universes and are able to enter into the world of the dead.

In part two of the DVD, Wolf describes in greater length his interactions with shamans among the North American Sioux Indians, in the jungles of Peru and in England. He confesses that he observed many things among the shamans that were unexplainable to him in terms of modern physics, noting that the shamans he worked with were loving healers who touched him in a deep and nurturing manner.

Fred Alan Wolf is a physicist and author of Space Time and Beyond, Taking the Quantum Leap, The Body Quantum, Star*Wave, Parallel Universes and The Eagle's Quest.

If you are "open" to understanding, you will then effect the field in a way that it will yield the information you need. And it will "appear" in a way that is observable to you, based upon your current ability to understand and integrate the experience.Your new and ever expanding ability to participate,as well as your "level" of desire, to comprehend and understand, is also creating an effect on the field, therefore you will see you are perpetually creating new ways to observe your experience.

Im in the 12th grade with a developing disrespect for the U.S. public school system, and I cannot keep myself from asking, "WHY ARE WE NOT LEARNING THIS?!"
  • Mishlove is such a great interviewer...He asks the good questions...Wonderful magical stuff.

I picked up a copy of Fred's book in a second hand book store early in college, thinking it would help me with physics. Little did I know it left the seeds of the deconstruction of my belief in an objective reality, and the end of my security I had thought I had found in education. Small world, huh?

I have the honor of working with a Native American Shaman. and the first time I went through a healing ceremony with him[not for me] I came away absolutely convinced that there is a unseen world beyond our five senses [no drugs were used by the way]

I was so surprised to see Fred Alan Wolf in the new NINJA TURTLES II movie "Out of the Shadows" (by Dave Green)! His face appears several times visibly on a background screen, when Donatello explains to his brothers how the trans-dimensional portal opens... weird! I instantly recognized him... perhaps the director put him in for some particular reason?

Fred Alan Wolf is one of my heroes. All of his books are a must read. You will want to read them more than once over the years. So much information.

A portion of the dialogue was removed at 3:40. Censorship sucks dick.

Wonderful, thanks JM! Fred Alan W. is always a delight to listen to. Appreciate you so generously posting this @ Youtube!
  • what a great honest and accurate remark towards all of this, i cannot express how much i appreciate and enjoyed listening to this conversation, it gave me something honestly, very powerful subject by itself anyways, outstanding coverage on both sides as well, i found the subjects surrounding the point of Shamans and Healers and that type of incredible energy that was spoken about was perfect, Thank you Jeffrey, Thank you Fred
  • After listening to this, I had to look up the word "shaman" and see how it's supposed to be pronounced. The most common pronunciation is the one used by Fred Wolf, but Jeffrey Mishlove's pronunciation is also acceptable. If they had realized they were both correct, one could have deferred to the other for the flow of the conversation. Jeffrey did defer at the end, for which I admire him. He's such a good guy. I really like Jeffrey Mishlove. I think there might be something metaphorically profound here. :)

Wow what a video! Loved this on my path to healing and conciousness evolution.

Mikeah Orie, congratulations on being a thinker!!  Learn this because it is truly how things work.  We live in a multidimensional energetic world.  Science is catching up, but meanwhile, it would be very good for you to learn what shamans know.

I read the description and found out this is not the full interview. In fact that goes for all the thinking allowed videos on youtube. This is a most magical discovery for me - I loved the interviews and now I found out there is so much more to them! Thanks for making these interviews... they are levels above interviews one comes across in life.
  • @PattyMMelt

Fascinating. Will go further in exploring several aspects of the discussion. Am, as a visual artist, especially interested in visual communication. Working on a project based on Jewish Magic.--from Israel, thank you both.
