Do you know yet if handing in strange coins to new Xur is the same as handing them to Starhorse used to be, where it gives you a random drop from the current week's DoE loot table? If not, I'm thinking that activity is all but dead.

If you purchase a catalyst, can you apply it immediately? Or do you still need to get the weapon kills with the base weapon?

Isn't Shaw Han offering Arbalest and the catalyst in his exotic quests right now. Correct me if i'm wrong on this. And if so you can save your strange coins for something else and do the quest.
