Title: "This is 50x faster than your PC" Me: using a 9 Year old HDD with about 20MB/s "i think you misscalculated something there"
-
me: opens file explorer my 2tb 5400 hdd: let me sing you a song of my people for the next 5 seconds
-
So basically with that I can fill my RAM in under a quarter of a second.
-
Literally every pc Linus builds is 50x faster than my pc.
-
6:35 When you need a scroll bar to see all the CPU threads in task manager...
-
It's never a good sign when I click on a link to this PCI card and the manufacturer says 'Request a quote'
-
Not everyone was aware of this, but one of the huge inprovements going from PCIe 2.0 to 3.0, was PCIe encoding overhead. With 3.0 (and 4.0) it's 1.5% (128b/130b). With 2.0 it was 20% (8b/10b).
-
Fun fact: A Honey Badger is known as "Mellivora capensis", and can live to be 24 years old. So, there you go :p
-
I love how Jake is just sitting there babysitting Linus so he doesnt do anything too reckless
-
"This is 50x faster than your PC" Everything is 50x faster than my PC!
-
THATS FANTASTIC I THINK MOST OF THE TIME I CAN SEE WERE YOUR GOING .KEEP UP THE ENTERTANIG VEDIOS. YOU AND ALL OF YOU TEAM STAY SAFE.
-
Very good for audio production, recording and recalling projects
-
holy shiz your page/swap ram would be faster then your actual ram....
-
6:55 You know that you have a lot of threads when task manager needs to put a scroll bar and tiny boxes to represent the usage of all 128threads.
-
Theoretically you could put 16 of those cards in an EPYC system. Or at least 15 if the MB used some lanes for other stuff.
-
Fastest SSD of 29GB/s!!! Me: Cries in kilobytes...
-
31.5 gigabytes per second: Now that's fast! 10 years later: Bruh, how did we even put up with those back then?
-
"This is 50x faster than your PC" "... This is faster than both our storage servers combined, probably" "... oh shit."
-
Linus in the thumbnail looks like he was going to yawn but then he saw something really interesting behind the camera and looked surprised at the same time
-
This is at the speeds where you can use it as a media server for an entire classroom, while they upload their massive video projects. It's just nuts. This could be good for gaming if you decided to build an extremely powerful computer and then give everyone in the family thin clients that are wirelessly connected, and they all wanted to play a different game at the same time.
