Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle will testify Monday morning before the House Oversight and Accountability Committee as scrutiny of her leadership grows in the wake of the assassination attempt against former President Trump.

Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) and ranking member Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) issued a joint statement calling for her testimony before the committee.

GOP leaders such as House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) have called for her resignation, while Democrats have broadly questioned her handling of the agency.

The heading is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. EDT.
