The battle for influence in Africa between the United States and China is increasingly heating up.

Tanzania, for example, saw trade volumes with China averaging US$9 billion annually and is hoping that figure could double by the end of the decade.

In the meantime, the US is also looking to boost trade and investment in the country, promising half a billion dollars in financing, to help companies export goods and services to Tanzania.

When China come to Africa, they talk about Africa. But when US and the West come to Africa , they talk about China and China....

China came to Africa to do business, build, share knowledge and technology and so on, while the US came to Africa just to incite Africa to stay away from China ! 😂😂😂

What battle? China is in Africa because of mutual agreement. If any African country wants to invite America, China has never interfered.

China import African minerals to produce green energy products, the US import African minerals to produce weapons for sale. Africa choose wisely. Thank you Africans.

Even though I'm not totally happy with these kinds of investments, it is better working with the Chinese rather than the warmongers that turn tribes against tribes The Chinese really help countries fight poverty while the west makes sure they remain poor, with their ambassadors.

It's not a battle. Africa knows which one treats them equally and respectfully. They picking the one who never treated them as slavers.

To all African nations - never allow a country that previously colonised, enslaved your people, ruled over you to dictate how you should live your life. You are free, so embrace this and decide on your own destiny. Africa strong!!!

Is this a trick question? Would you be friend with someone that make you rich or someone enslave you and steal your riches?

The only kind of 'influence' that US sends to Africa is military 'aid'. I don't think alot of countries in Africa want that kind of influence.
