I am a fan of Final Fantasy! . . . Played only Kingdom Hearts

I don't understand why people always point out that laughing scene, it's meant to be weird and stilted. Tidus is trying to get Yuna to feel better and as a way to cope with the shit they have to deal with he forces out a silly laugh and she joins in. I understood this when I first played through FFX at 12 years old, cmon people.

Everyone else's introduction to FF: any main game My introduction: Kingdom Hearts and discovering Advent Children

First Final Fantasy game is 7 Remake...and I’m loving it so much.
  • Here’s a fact Don’t start with 5, it’d lure you in with it’s humour and then destroy you with the difficulty

My first was X and I liked it so much I bought every FF since.

My start with the franchise was Final Fantasy VII. Yeah it's the most obvious choice to start with, and yeah it hasn't aged well graphically, but the story and gameplay still hold up to this day.

I have no idea why YouTube recommended this to me but damn, you did a fantastic job. Subscribed for sure.

VIII was my first one and I started it when I was really really young and I didn't understand it at all but I was enamored by the cool swords, magic and of course the summoning sequences which are still amazing to watch.

my first final fantasy game was final fantasy x, i finished my first ever playthrough last month (yes i know i got into the franchise very late) and it was an AMAZING experience!! i can tell ffx it’s always gonna hold a very special place in my heart :)
  • My first fantasy: VI. My favorite fantasy: IX. My recommended fantasy: still VI.

FFX was my first, I was 14 and it blew my mind and made me laugh, made me cry, made me rage, all the feels happened. Good stuff!

Where 12 lacks in a true protagonist, it makes up for in world and story(it’s literally OT Star Wars with GoT politics lmao). Its gameplay with the gambit system makes it so unique too. It‘s an acquired taste type of FF but it has such a charm to it that other FF games don’t have. It’s very underrated imo

Start with Dirge of Cerberus or XIII, because it's all uphill from there.

First Game: Final Fantasy I (NES) Favorite: Final Fantasy V (GBA) Recommended: Final Fantasy X Best: Chrono Trigger (Okay, so it's not a Final Fantasy game, but I'm not wrong.)

"There's really no way to mess up the sphere grid." .... Actually, there is. And it was me. I borrowed the game from a friend back in high school for the PS2, and got stuck on the Seymour fight where you first encounter his summon, Anima. Couldn't get past it at all, so I brought the game and save card to my friend's house for help. The first thing she did was pop open my sphere grid..... to see that I had not touched it AT ALL. She went dead silent and slowly turned to look at me in disappointment as I stammered on about how I just didn't get it so I had ignored it and then forgotten about it. (Also it was my first Final Fantasy game, and I think it's a great gateway into the games, though probably not the best game of them all)

We need a final fantasy collection with at least the first 6 games

IV is my personal recommendation. Easy to follow storyline, all characters have a set class and learn all skills through levelling up, difficulty curve is fair for the most part, has 2D and 3D options, and has a sequel which is significantly harder than the prequel for added difficulty and continuity fun.
