Anyone else showing a friend how far they've come?
  • @LouSaydus
i was showing this to my dad 11 years ago and he laughed and said it would be another 50 years before it's useful in any way. He's shitting bricks over the fact they can now do backflips, dance, use doors, lift items and run around freely.
  • Listening to music on a phone will be a thing of the past one we all have one of these speakers fallowing us everywhere

Truly amazing. It may not be the first, but, those who built robots preceding it didn't give out their info, so just as great of an accomplishment. Well done!

"Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk, I'm a woman's man No time to talk. Music loud and women warm I've been kicked around since I was born."
  • Its really funny and amazing when you see him in comparison to atlas. You really come far ;)

This is about the most awesome thing i have seen all week. After recently doing some exstensive troubleshooting of a 3 axis robot I have a whole new appreciation for how complex this thing must be... In order to remain balanced it needs many feedback loops getting updated hundreds of times a second.

0:25. Right here just proves that the machine is actually reacting to the push and balancing itself, all within a few seconds. Pure f*cking genius! This makes regular high tech robot look like old tech since they just run a pre-written script. Give it a decade or two and I bet they'll have these PETMAN robots out in the battlefield.

  • @dennizenx
That reminds me of a guy a walked home from the bar one time. They could have been cousins. LOL. Truly magnificent work, especially the self correcting for the push, just awesome.
