I always wondered why they never make a “double-wide” Twix, making one that’s the size of both in one bar. I wonder if there’d be a negative difference to changing the width as apposed to just the length (fun size for example)

I’ve only ever eaten the miniature ones so I’ve always just associated left vs right as a joke.

It’s a marketing strategy to try to get people to believe things just like this, which gets you to think more about twixes, and it’s working perfectly!

My favorite part of the twix campaign is they literally created a weird and pointless rivalry just to make people talk about them, and it actually worked

I remember hearing "the first bite of an apple always tastes the best" a lot when I was a kid. I always thought it was just because your taste buds weren't ready or used to the flavor yet.

To get a more accurate "crunchiness" test, you could have performed a standard tensile or bend test, basically determining how much force is required to break a twix bar (though, since twix contain some semisolid-compounds (caramel, chocolate) the strain-rate dependency of the strength would be tricky).

I can just imagine mat pat coming out a van with no windows saying “ DO YOU WANT TWIX?” And handing people unwrapped candy, definitely not the description of what people tell their kids to stay away from😊
