I've compiled a reading list of my favourite history books via the Amazon influencer program. If you do choose to purchase any of these incredible sources of information then Amazon will send me a tiny fraction of the earnings (as long as you do it through the link) (this means more and better content in the future) I'll keep adding to and updating the list as time goes on:-

Finally back to Romans & Celts on this one 🤟Really enjoyed it! Hope you’re hanging on in there folks. I was originally planning on making a visit to Colchester, and a few other villas etc for this video, but due to recent events thought it best not to travel. Various other trips throughout the year I’ll probably be calling off too. I tend to focus on what the experts are saying during a time like this, and the overwhelming advice at the moment seems to be to stay inside whenever possible. For a hermit like me that’s fine and obviously everyone can’t stay inside due to work, commitments etc. But for those of you going out drinking, socialising etc, just remember, for the majority of people it’s not your own health you gotta look out for, but your neighbour, and over-worked hospital. In these trying times let’s all bunker down and wait for this to all blow over. All we’ve gotta do is stay inside with a good history book, there’s no Celtic warrior queen outside questioning the integrity of our ancestors if we don’t fight in her army. Life’s pretty good all things considered! Anyway hope you enjoy the video, many more on the way! Don’t forgot to like, subscribe and let me know what you think in the comments. Remember- WASH YOUR HANDS

Your videos always feel like the History Channel back when the History Channel was actually good.

Pete Kelly: How many videos about Ancient and Medieval Britain and Ireland do you want me to produce? Me: YES
  • @--Paws--
Your pace and voice are perfect for storytelling. A calm delivery with a firm expression given to each words, gives drama to the imagery.
  • @coltoncrain5375
This..... this is why you never let the Romans pick the battlefield.
  • As always, perfectly researched and narrated. Pete, I'm spoiled by you, I watch your documentaries and can't wait for the next. Thank you.

Finally got to watch this and honestly, I think this is one of your best ones. Loved the cameo from the HT mountaintop stronghold...great job and stay safe Pete!
  • Another gem of a video Pete! As an angry middle aged red- headed woman, Boudicca is something of a hero for me.
  • @katew6777
I'm supposedly descended from Boudicca, this is so interesting!
  • @nikkinone-ya
You are amazing, you should be the voice on all TV documentaries! Thank you for doing these so very very much.
  • @luisalves8807
Hi! Just to let you know The Great Viriato was from Lusitania, which is the roots of my Portuguese people. You were very close tho, saying he was from Spain. Great documentary as always! Keep up the good work!
  • I love your documentaries, Pete. They are well researched and put together. They are better produced than many produced by the large networks. I cannot imagine the amount of work that you put into these. I'm an ex pat Brit and your programmes transport me back to the beloved land of my youth. I did not appreciate the wealth of ancient and dark age history that Britain had to offer when I lived in England and wish that I had the opportunity now to explore and dig deep. However your wonderful documentaries go a very long way in quenching my thirst for knowledge of these magical past times. I am so grateful to you ❤💛 and have subscribed to your other channel. Look forward to watching many more. 😊 Cheers from Whitby Ontario Canada 🇨🇦
