I've been listening to Dancehall and Afrobeats for some time now, and Afrobeats has come a long way, It's reached a level where as a Jamaican I can say that I prefer listening to Afrobeats! At some point, they were able to switch it up and cultivate their own stamp on their genre, place their own energy and vibes in the mix personally speaking. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy my dancehall, however in my Opinion Dancehall kept staying the same, no evolution, pure daggering, AK47, CAPPA Shot, or Marrow a fly - which is calm and all, However you need to grow with the times. There are only a limited few that have been able to grow and keep their flow elevating, Konshens, Popcaan, and Koffee just to name a few, but overall the others all sound the same apart from the few. However, that's my Opinion!! :goodvibes:
