Born in the UK but of Iraqi origin, Key 7 has always embraced his mixed roots. He began playing the piano at the age of seven, and this is where he traces his passion for music. Growing up listening primarily to Hip Hop, R&B and Soul, these genres were a major influence when he started producing music several years ago. He has since also taken inspiration from Afrobeat and Reggae music among others. His production style is defined by R&B/Soul-inspired chord progressions, unique sampling and emotional vibes, often backed by hard-hitting drums and basslines.

Key 7's debut single as a main artist, Fly Like I, recently released and features artists Tashana, OFFCOURSE and Mikey Louis. The track revolves around a Hip Hop/Trap-inspired beat with a heavy bassline and a hypnotic main melody that hooks listeners in from the very start. The featured artists contribute vocals that display a range of styles, from rap to bashment, making this a track with diverse appeal.
