When asked if Rahul Gandhi says there is no hatred then what is he trying to join with the Yatra, Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate said that "this govt through its crony media houses and its mouthpieces is trying to set a narrative where one community is being hated. Where it's difficult to be an SC/ST, your rights will be taken and nobody will talk about it. No one will talk about price rise or unemployment. What we are trying to say is that what this govt is trying to peddle as hatred, and acrimony the soul of India which is pure and loves peace will not accept it and we ask that the soul of India shouldn't be destroyed."
