REMOTE VIEWING SECRETS with Russell Targ | The Richard Dolan Show

Published 2023-07-11
For PART TWO of this interview (RD Members): richarddolanmembers.com/remote-viewing/russell-tar…

Russell Targ is a pioneer in remote viewing, having co-founded the original effort for the CIA in 1972 to develop a team of psychic spies. Not only did he succeed in this endeavor, but his Stanford Research Institute team sent chills into such places as the CIA, the NSA, and elsewhere once they realized that no secrets were safe. Targ describes the interest of rocket scientist Werner von Braun in psi phenomena, incredible remote views of Ingo Swann, Pat Price, Hella Hammid, and others. Russell also discusses his own background, how he developed his interest in psi and the unusual circumstances that led to the creation of the SRI remote viewing program. This is a fascinating discussion from a man who is justifiably considered a legend.

  • Hey Richard this is Lance Mungia, director of Third Eye Spies. Thanks to both you and Russell for the kind words about my work. Third Eye Spies represents one of the great privileges of my life I'm happy I was able to help bring it forth and grateful for the exposure on your show. Thanks again.

Targ is SO open and honest because he BELIEVES that there are no secrets. Some people talk about “consistent body language,” some of us view things through “consistent spiritual meaning.” He scores an A+, in my view. I can't help but fall in love with his sincerity.

Was working at SRI in 1980 (early internet research), when another staff member mentioned Targ & Puthoff's research in the next building. Completely cracked my cosmic egg and sparked a whole consciousness exploration. Absolutely Hal and Russell deserve some kind of planetary award for their contributions.

Russell is the man! What a treasure it is to hear all his stories. A national treasure! 💯

Both of these statements are true with a change in perspective: *all events have already occurred *we have free will and can choose any possibility. One perspective is from within time and the other is outside of time. Love you Mr. Targ and Mr. Dolan. Amazing revelation about our favorite German.

I get home from work and there is a Dolan - Targ interview?! Dinner can wait!!!
  • Wow! Russell Targ! The man, the myth, the legend! "Third eye spies" is an amazing documentary. I've watched 4 times.
  • Here's something. A while back I was sitting on the couch when all of a sudden all over my body, I starting getting the most horrific stabbing pains. They were so horrible, I jumped up, grabbed hold of my right side in pain. Made it a little ways across the room, dropped to my knees and started(yes this is gross, my apologies) throwing up, the most unusual stuff, I've ever seen. It was like dark blackish blood. I took a picture of it. Anyway, it stopped, and I stood up and the pain stopped. I knew it meant I had a visitor. So I screamed out who's here. Yes, telepathic, I get a name Krystal. Mind you, this has never happened to me before or after . So I sat back down, and thought who is Krystal. It came to me, so I googled a girl named Krystal I went to school with, that had been stabbed over 85 times in her house. She was younger than me. I think she was 16 when it happened. Here's freaky part. The day she was murdered was within maybe cpl days of when this happened to me that day. So for non believers that some of us can see, feel and hear things others can not, please rethink that. It really sucks to feel the deceased pain.

I LOVE how he underscors how one must focus on the experience. That's being present, in the now, experiencing. ONLY IN THE NOW is there intuition about the future.
  • Hell yah more Richard BLEEPING Dolan.. you the man.. keep fighting the good fight..
  • Holy shit, talking with Targ himself. Goddamn how I wish Ingo Swann was still with us.

When my father died many years ago , we had a light in the hallway that never worked even when we put new globes in it. After he died that light started to work without us switching it on . We even started to see the cabinet doors opening by themselves , it had to be our father . Richard I'm surprised that you didn't have Tracey on as she's a Remote Viewer much love from Australia 🇦🇺❤
  • @ig6786
Russell is a special gem and he's not going to be around for ever, he's a gifted man who should be appreciated and oak up all his wisdom while we can ❤
  • @templewatts
Yes. Please bring him back ASAP with the “How to” for remote viewing!!
  • @denisaljic
Russell has been (throughout the years) a constant source of resourceful information for the few that know how. We all have some powers that transcends our physical form. It sometimes takes more or less time to figure them out!
  • That was an absolute pleasure to listen to. Be sure to let Russell know he's a fan favorite
  • I know I’m going to love this. Thanks Richard. I love your show.
  • I had the privilege of hearing several talks by Russell Targ, and watching Third Eye Spies at Paola Harris’s StarWorks conference in 2019. He had the audience participate in a remote viewing experiment, where he had an object in a bag, and asked us to sense what it was. I’d had a number of precognitive experiences in my life, but didn’t put much hope my being able to figure out what this object was. I was shockingly close, as were a number of other people who had never attempted this before. We all have some level of psychic ability that we should tap into more. Thanks for having this amazing man on your show! I agree- he should win a Nobel prize along with Putoff and the others from SRI.

I'm 100% with Richard on the initial gut-reaction people have (including many in the ufo community), about remote viewing and other phenomena being hard to believe becuase "how could it possibly work in physics?". We can imagine how a warp drive or anti-matter reactor could potentially work, with our physics. But ESP is beyond that. I think the core thing is, if you personally havent experienced it, you have a real hard time fully believing it, or "trusting" the accounts. Even if you fully believe ET craft have visited Earth (because again, that is still possible to explain via exotic physics theories). I've been growing up as a die-hard scientist with my dad who was the same. I always took the mainline scientific logical path in any question i had about the universe. Until i had precognitive dreams and other remote viewing experiences. People who havent had them, think we're all dumb and gullable, that we somehow think a vague blurry vision of a blue sky is "precognition" of us seeing a blue sky later that day. It's nothing like that. It's precise down to the molecules. From the "field of view" of your eyeballs to the individual raindrops hitting the exact same points on your hands at the exact same moment and in the same order, on to more significant things such as an accident or human-related incident occuring, again the exact same way, down to the tiniest drop or speck of matter. It's literally as if, you watched a 4k60fps video, remembered the full video a few minutes or hours after you had seen it, before anything else happened. (so it's not a gltich in false memory or deja vu, because you actively remembered the "video" / dream, before anything else happens). Then, perhaps 5 hours later, or a day later, the EXACT same events, situations, scenarios, objects, particles, people, causes and events, as occured in the video (dream), now occur in front of your eyes, with your eyes having the exact same POV as the "camera" in the "video". With every single tiny perceptible detail, an exact match. Every speck of dust flying through the air at the exact same pattern and order, every mosquito landing on the windshield in the exact same order, at the exact same time. Essentially, these experiences are like a billion "synchronicities" happening in the span of a few seconds. It is incalculably impossible to be pure random chance. In mathematics, some things, however rare, "would" occur at some point in the universes lifetime. In mathematics, it is "possible" that the subatomic fabric spontaneously pops into existance, all the atoms in the exact right order to form a fully functioning Jessica Alba in front of you. However low the odds. But in reality, in the real physical universe, it will never happen, no matter how long the universe exists. This is because reality and mathematics is not the same thing, mathematics is a language to decipher what happens in reality. So if you want to know if something was related to ESP or not, simply do the odds on it all being random chance. Note, you also have to factor in the odds of the same events occuring at the same moment, spread across your entire projected lifetime. Once you do that, and see that its simply impossible to be a string of thousands of coincidences at once, you know. Once you've had that experience, you know 100% that it's possible. And i'm still following mainstream science. But i know they cant explain it. But i also know this stuff is real. I dont "have to" know how it works, i just know it is real. The same way i dont "have to" know the exact details of how a fusion bomb works, for it to actually work in reality outside my own comprehension. The universe doesnt care if we understand it or not, it doesnt pause for us to catch up. it is what it is. I still DONT think precognition means that "free will" is dead. I dont think it means we're all on an automated path without means to change it. I think what we call precognition, is simply those visions that happens to match up with our current path. If i had a vision or dream like that, hyper real, potential to BE precognition, but i then simply decide to not go outside that day. Then i would never have known that the dream or vision WAS indeed precognition, because i just changed the sequence of events. Likewise, i think it is possible that many sparks of vision or dreams we have, may also BE precognition. But they only occur, if our free will choices, land us at that same situation. If you have a dream about a car crash, but you left your house later than usual, perhaps that WAS precognition, but you avoided it. Because we can only become aware of the precognition that DOES occur. We cant assume every dream we have is the real future, because we'd go mental. So we can only count the ones that did indeed occur, the ones we did indeed line up with through our direct and indirect choices. So if we indeed have free will and can change our future path, then only a limited number of visions will actually take place. But the fact that ANY of them occur at all, is proof that there's more to the universe than simply a linear timeline.
