Guilty Gear Strive - Bridget Combo Guide

Here are your Bridget combos for Guilty Gear Strive! Bridget on one level is super fundamental and basic, as a lot of what she offers is just pokes. Pokes are effective sure but not too flashy, the real meat is with Yo-Yo setups which while I provide a few examples in the video, there are so so so so many more out there to be found out and discovered so hit the lab! Bridget is built around Yo-Yo pressure and all her best stuff will be from that. It's scary how much Bridget's gameplay steals from Raven's old swoop pressure. Even down to using an early kick to fastfall into an artificial "empty" low. No wonder Kazunoko is already one of the best Bridgets out there. LOL

After playing other fighting games for a while it feels really good to come back to strive. The game feels so fluid and natural.

I've been playing a friend of mine who changed to bridget. Kinda weird that both she and broly have the same archetype (zoner that is also a grappler), but with how many times I'm getting hit by the bear, I cannot deny it any longer. She's a zonegrappler.

Bridget seems pretty cool for having good pokes on top of fancy set ups and combos. That should allow more creativity in combo routes compared to the others.

I would love to see your thoughts on how Bridget is now. I don't know if you normally make follow up videos specifically on your own thoughts. I know you typically do combo guides and then character guides, but I'd love a shorter video just talking about how you feel about her gameplay in Strive compared to how she was in XX. Watching your trailer breakdown video, it's clear that you know a lot about the past version of her, so I think it'd be neat to see your thoughts on the changes they've made to her moveset.

One important combo that isn't mentioned here: off of CH 5hs you can go into 236K > 2k 2d to start her yoyo knockdown pressure. Depending on the range, you have to adjust the drift of 236k left and right to make it hit late so the link works, but it should be possible at most ranges aside from very close.

Bridget is a character I could easily pick up and play as someone who sucks at GG, and perfectly adheres to my style of play in games. I like going fast and barrelling into anything in my way. Prominent example would be Zero’s roll slash from the Mega Man Zero games. I think from that you can tell why I absolutely love throwing out the following inputs of quarter circle forward and K once I’m done with pressing quarter circle S/HS.
