I remember saws that can be sharpened, nowadays they are throw away types, that can't be sharpened. The first job on site was to make a set of saw chocks, I doubt if younger Joiners know what they are. Good to know they are still available.

Я в 82 году купил удочку из бамбука цэльную ровная и крепкая так она мне служила лет 30 а потом все равно полопалась так я чуть не плакал ото раньше умели и делать и подбирать бамбук

When they lacquer coat they cannot leave handles touchimg each other as when lacquer hardens it bonds the handles leaving surface with imperfections. Handles need to be separated
