Did you know that global warming could potentially trigger a new ice age? Did you know that the Gulf Stream, which keeps Western Europe warm, has weakened by 20% since 1950?

In this video, we explore the paradoxical possibility of a new ice age emerging from our warming planet. We delve into the complex mechanisms of Earth's climate system, focusing on the crucial role of ocean currents in regulating global temperatures.

The video begins by introducing the concept of abrupt climate change and the historical evidence for rapid cooling events. We then explain the intricate workings of the global ocean conveyor belt, particularly the Gulf Stream, and how it influences climate patterns across the Northern Hemisphere.

As we explore current scientific research, we discuss the alarming signs of freshening in the North Atlantic and the potential disruption of deep-water formation. We examine how the influx of freshwater from melting Arctic ice and Greenland glaciers could potentially shut down the ocean conveyor, leading to dramatic cooling in Europe and North America

  • 😅 70's) we're heading to an ice age! 2000's) we're heading to global warming! 2020's) we're heading back to an ice age! Scientists have no clue what's going on, especially if they're government funded scientists.
  • As a teenager in the 70's ice age eas all the rage. In fact i seem to recall Spock (Leonard Nimoy) from Star Trek doing a 1979 documentsry on the impending ice age in the 21st century.
  • @123456wasp
    So……why am I paying Carbon Tax??? 🤨
  • I really like the fact that we no nothing but make assumptions and then feed it too the people but i feel greed and power is more of a problem than climate change 😢
  • As usual no mention of how the sun cycles effects earth's climate change which of course is insane.
  • But what happened to global warming? .... They've been saying the Earth is heating up. Now they're saying it's supposed to cool down. THEY NEED TO MAKE UP THEIR MIND !
  • You forgot something. We have been in a magnetic polar shift that also adds to this. Like this dinosaurs, it was multiple things that came together at once that took them out.
  • I have heard this information from several sources but the scope of this is a bit wider. The big problem with science today is those who pay for the research, only pay if their opinions are confirmed by ''scientific results''. This is making ''scientists'' biased & unreliable.
  • It's sad that you appear to know nothing about CO2 and just blame everything on fossil fuels., when fossil fuels are deficient in natural Carbon14, (where everybody breaths out carbon14 at up to 4,000ppm with every breath). Fossil fuels have Carbon 12 and cement manufacture, carbon 13, which is analysed in the UK by the NPL Government agency. CO2 is increasing at a rate of 2.94ppm per year of which only 0.3ppm is Carbon 12 coming from fossil fuels, so if we eliminate all fossil fuels, CO2 will still increase at a rate of 2.64ppm per year, which nothing is being done about. So what we have now in the total atmosphere, which has come from fossil fuels, is a negligible 0.0012%. if you think that eliminating 0.0012% of the atmosphere will make any impact on climate, you are living on cloud cuckoo land. Since the Roman period and the Medieval warm period, we have increased CO2 by 50%, yet the global temperature is much less than then. When CO2 was increasing at the fastest rate, during the Post War Economic boom, (1940-1979) global temperatures dropped for 40 years, but I notice from the IPCC and Michael Mann graphs, that this drop and the Medieval Warm period have been eliminated to show only warming. The only aspect which lines up with those temperature graphs, is the population growth after the Industrial era, from 2 billion to 8 billion. In 2007,alarmists said that the Arctic would be ice free by 2014, so annual records were maintained by private scientists of the sea ice coverage and they currently show that the sea ice has NOT changed since 2007. As far as Greenland is concerned, it has gained on average 400 billion tons of ice per year. If you really want to blame something for global warming, I suggest that you look at our protective Magnetosphere, which has depleted by 27%, letting in more Solar radiated UV heat and cosmic radiation. Cosmic radiation is converting water vapor gas into rain clouds and fragmenting the jet streams, thus bringing unusual extreme weather conditions to all countries. The Magnetosphere is depleting at 5% per decade and the current very week South Atlantic Anomaly, is allowing much more heat in to warm the South Atlantic ocean, which will change the Thermohaline ocean currents. It is the depleted Magnetosphere, NOT CO2 which is causing the climate problems.
  • @onederment
LOL... but we havent finished the last ice age
  • "New Ice Age" The last one never actually ended, we're simply in a warmer phase between major glaciations.
  • We aren't on the breech of a new ice age, we are already in one. We are in an interglacial period. The ice can return at any time. The ice age is only over when both ice caps have gone completely. If the ice does return all of the UK and most of Northern Europe, Northern Russia, all of Canada and the northern parts of the USA will be covered in ice sheets and be uninhabitable. So ask yourself a question. Would you rather have the climate as it is now even if it might get slightly warmer or would you prefer the ice sheets to return?
  • It has already started in Ireland! It’s August already and we’re still waiting for summer!!
  • This was predicted in the 1960’s as we had cool wet summers. Then the 1970 heat waves.
  • @hamag1973
They conveniently forget to tell that the models they refer to "many models" never ever have predicted anything corectly. There is only ONE model that works quite well and that is a russian model.
  • we are already in an ice age, its called the Pleistocene. You are confusing ice ages and stadials. Maybe have another go? Brian.
