I have been watching shag haircut videos all day because I am making sure that I know what to ask for when I get my haircut. This is by far the best video I have seen. This guy is extremely talented.

I just did this on myself. It was really hard to get the sections right but I kept trying and double checked them by taking a picture with a phone. It took me 2.5 hours but it came out good. I still have some personalization to do but I will slowly do that once I get a feel for where there is too much weight. This is the second shag haircut I have done one myself and definitely the most technical. I know this video is not meant to be a DIY but you know people will try.

This, except for the0 twisting, is how I learned to cut hair in 1978. They didn’t teach my daughter this way and I was really disappointed. Thanks for the videos! ❤️

Wow I had an og shag when I was a kid in the 70's!!! My thin, wavy hair rocked that do too😉 I'm in the process of growing my hair out but right now my length and layers could use an update and a shag cut like you've done wouldn't take that much off whats grown out already. And its a more forgiving cut to grow out. Thanks for sharing your expertise and reminding me of the shag cut♡
