As someone who wants to get into designing my own stuff for 3d printing, this is mind blowing. Long way to go! Thank you for putting out great content.

I've spent about a week trying to slice an stl I'd modified in blender. I'd ended up recreating it from scratch, but it was still missing layers and generally not working. 10 minutes watching this video, and all is fixed. Thank you! The 3d print toolbox was brilliant

Wow the CAD transform addon looks like what I have been missing from trying to switch from Maya. I am used to snapping my move pivot to verts and was so frustrated it couldn't be done. So glad I saw this!

havent used blender in years, its so much more advanced now. thank you for the quick reminder of everything
  • @overclockist
Thank you for including the simplify geometry tut, modifying a car body scan . Smoothing and sculpting it was making the file huge and hard to handle!!

Thanks. Your presentation is clear and concise. Your voice is easy to understand and your delivery just right for tutorials. This was very useful to me.
  • Fine enough to import a ready made model and make a working printable stl, but if the desire is to create from scratch in Blender, action NUMBER ONE should be to change scale to 0.001 Then set the length measure to millimeters.

Thank you so much for having the screencast keys on when you made this video. I have been preaching that to the blender tutorial community for 15 years.

Thank you very much for making this video and sharing your knowledge! Last time I used Blender to edit an existing STL for 3D printing... It wasn't a very nice experience to me.
  • @BuilderTrevin
Thank you this is exactly what i needed! I love blender too! I usually use it for low poly models in video games for unreal engine. But now i can export my intentions from blender to my printing thank you. Big likes and sunscribing!

Amazing and detailed explanation. Thanks a lot. Already subscribed:)
  • Ive played around with blender. And it's good. The problem is I can never find a good up to date tutorial

Hi Tales, I find this video of yours very good and useful. I have a question for a short factual description, although according to my experience, after bending an object, 1000-2000 or more or less "overhang faces" warnings are generated, depending on the number of polygons of the mesh. My question would be, in this case, is it more expedient to ignore these "overhang faces" and rely on the support of the actual slicing application, or is there some kind of solution that does not significantly deviate from the original concept? Maybe you can also make a video about it or give your opinion in the description. Thanks.

amazing tutorial! I'm tying to make a grip for the Gameboy Advance (because no one has actually done it, Crazy!) Editing someone's 3DS grip to fit a GBA. I was sculping, but now I'm going to go back and do some precision work.

This is a very good video, thanks a bunch!
