    I dunno if there's an updated video on this yet, but blender has added yet more stuff for this. It's now possible to use it for printing the type of stuff you'd usually use CAD for.

    great video thanks. I'm teaching a class on 3D fabrication and sculpture. I will share this video with my students. One suggestion is to also discuss how Blender and 3D printing is also used in the field of fine art and sculpture.

    Definitely sounds like something I can fill my spare time with outside of painting miniatures and gaming. Will eventually get a photon mono as there's other models I want to print but it definitely would be another fun experience to have. Thanks for the video man!

    I 3d print. But I use autodesk fusion 360 (free) to design hard surface and practical models.

    I combine fusion 360 and blender, I find fusion much easier and intuitive to create dimensionally accurate and interlocking parts, but blender is much better for finer details and various "accessories"
