I returned my Intercept (Android 2.1) and got Optimus
I am really glad that I did it. The Optimus operates sooooo much FASTER!
The Intercept operates like Windows Vista with 256GB of ram meaning that it is very laggy and hard to operate. on the other hand Optimus operates like WIndows7 with lots of rams. every operation got so much smoother!
I can finally leave my ipod touch on the desk and play it on my VM phone!
wider and larger screen provide larger touch keyboard on Oitumus
and I don't miss the sliding keyboards on the intercept

Yup, looks just like my Intercept! Probably going to buy an Optimus V. I hate throwing $250 down the drain for a piece of junk though. Then again, for the service cost, you can't beat it.

The biggest deal between the Optimus V and the Intercept is that the Optimus V is using EvDO Rev A and the the Intercept used EvDO Rev 0. The difference between those two technologies is that EvDo Rev A is better. Rev A is a bit faster on downloads, much faster on uploads and most importantly, it has lower latency. That lower latency is what helps make thing seem so much faster overall.

Flash your Intercept with Froyo and it's a way better phone. The speed increase you see in the Optimus is due to the faster Java compiler in 2.2. For the record, The intercept's processor is clocked faster than the Optimus.

Intercept on 2.2 works great! I can also upload a video on it running angry birds like my status if u want me to upload a video on a review on intercept 2.2 for virgin mobile!!! :D

@MrTrevor321 I thought about that too. But I didn't want to risk my phone to root it or wait for "Spring" for official update and Best Buy refunded me the full amount. however, the Optimus still operates slower than my ipod which is understandable because I am comparing a $300 MP3 player and $150 Phone. If the Virgin start offering Xperia or one of the HTC with 4inch + screen I am sold!

@MrBsmithers24 The Inception has stronger screen and sliding keyboard. The Optimus has better resolution, wider screen (better for web browsing, typing). however, I already got small scratch on my optimus so I highly recommend screen protector.

Once the intercept gets froyo its gonna beat the optimus.

@csabo07 Thats the problem I have. I got the Intercept as a christmas gift, and I would hate to see the look on my parents face when I buy a new phone already. :P

@KidMizzle It oprates smoother on regular tasks like web, mail, or even youtube but Optmus is faster

the lg does have 3 g network... it runs off the sprints 3g network

@csabo07 If you can't return your phone maybe you should wait until the 2.2 for Intercept is out I hope that VM will have a Android phone with 4 inch ish screen touch screen better processor that handles Flash... I would pay $350 for that

u couldve waited until spring for 2.2 or just rooted your phone and put 2.2 on it. supersixty1 can show u how to put froyo 2.2 on the intercept

@galapin26 Mine was less then a week old and I only had preinstall + 5 apps... and it was not log I returned mine because I did not want to wait for VM to offer Android 2.2 Intercept was not a bad Android Phone w/$25 per month fee but Optimus is better the GPU and newer CPU on the Otimus helps

@FrankLotti1 neither of them is for gaming.... it dose not operate like ipod touch ipod touch is faster and has larger and screen with better resolution I till use my ipod touch (4th gen) for gaming and web browsing. however, it is nice to have the 3G connection. I use my phone to provide wifi connection to my ipod touch and my laptop. I would go for optimus but Intercept could be ok if you can manage to get Android 2.2

The intercept is not like that!!! I have one and is way better that the optimus v. That video is made with an intercept probably full of application and log used vs an new optimus. NOT FEAR!
