LMFAO!!!!!!! Mistaking the Astrodome for the Alamodome. Btw Sam Boyd Stadium should be included.
  • @darrellllll
Alamodome is not a “forgotten stadium” it is used more than it isn’t used for events. It hosts pretty much everything. There is something going on in there almost daily. Definitely not forgotten 😂

One more that has been forgotten is the MECCA in Milwaukee. The Bucks original home still stands and is in use today as it is the home arena for the UW-Milwaukee Panthers and called Milwaukee Panthers Arena. Ironically, its replacement for the Bucks, the Bradley Center, was demolished in 2019 as the Bucks moved into their 3rd home, Fiserv Forum. During construction of Fiserv, you could see all 3 arenas standing side by side by side.
  • The dome in St Louis holds a dirt oval race every December. It was so busy this year that the battlehawks home opener with pushed to week 4

I'm glad you brought up the STL riverfront stadium that nobody outside St. Louis ever talks about when it comes to the NFL leaving ST. Louis. This was pretty much a done deal to be built but the Rams didn't want it, and the NFL never saw this coming together so quickly from STL. They wanted to be in the LA market that bad.

A little fun fact about the St. Louis new football stadium renderings: I remember doing a riverboat cruise tour in St. Louis in early 2015, and I remember the tour guides specifically mentioning "over there is where the city of St. Louis has planned a new football stadium for the Rams that is scheduled to be completed some time in the next 4-5 years". They had no clue what was coming

Turner Field was built specifically to be a baseball stadium. It being able to be used for the Olympics was only meant to be temporary. It was supposed to be a baseball stadium first and foremost.

The Cotton Bowl is still standing in Dallas home to the Cowboys from 1960 to 1971.

Here's a good one..."The Summit", aka "Compaq Center", in Houston. It is the former home to the Houston Rockets. And is now the home of Joel Osteen's megachurch, named "Lakewood Church." Great video!!!

The Dome in St. Louis in INCREDIBLY busy. It's also the city's main convention center, and is booked through most of the year. Just because it doesn't host NFL games anymore doesn't mean it's not used.
  • Oracle Arena didn't get new seats, they actually completely gutted the interior, leaving the the foundation. Outer walls and roof as the only original parts of the arena remaining. Think this happened in the mid 90s.
  • @higgy04
UCLA and Gonzaga met in a Sweet 16 game at Oracle back in 2006 (it was that long ago?) where the Bruins came from behind and eliminated the Zags. Gus Johnson went nuts on the air too.
  • @seand1011
You're right, Oregon had a MASSIVE lead of about 4 or 5 touchdowns before TCU came ALL the way back to win in OT.
  • You need to make a video on the zOMBIFIED Brendan Byrne Arena (aka Continental Airlines Arena…aka IZOD Center or the arena near Giants Stadium in the Meadowlands). It was the former home of the NJ Devils and NJ Nets. When the Nets vacated it around 2010, the arena has not hosted events. It has on rare occasions been used as a sound stage. It is next to the American Dreams Mall and would be a good thing if it was torn down. Look it up! It still stands.
  • @MNsportsnut
Oracle was actually the arena where UCLA had their big comeback over Gonzaga in 2006, the Adam Morrison game.
  • Montreal's Olympic Stadium is pretty forgotten, it also killed the Expos.
  • Hey man, I’m loving it. Commentary is organic and thoughtful, and witty at the same time. You got something going. Definitely gonna keep watching what you come out with 👌🏽
  • @charleshallsc
Turner Field was built for the Braves. It was modified for the Olympics.

When you were describing the Astrodome, you kept mentioning the Alamodome. The Astrodome is in Houston and the Alamodome is in San Antonio. The Astrodome is considered a national landmark. That is why it has not been demolished yet
