Not really seconds, but what comes to my mind is Loris Karius in the UCL Final, Liverpool vs Real Madrid.. it seems that he disappeared after that game

Gio Dos Santos was such a frustrating case because he had everything to succeed and he just squandered it away. His wondergoal against the USA will forever be his peak.

As someone from Costa Rica I cant help but mention Joel Campbell he joined Arsenal at the age of 19 even rejecting a move to Man United and after several loans he was playing in Mexico at the age of 27 and now at 31 he’s back home. He was brilliant at times like in the 2014 World Cup and had some decent loan spells at Betis and Olympiakos.
  • I can see the thought on Coutinho, though. But think he's fine with it tbh. being a Spain and Germany champion, and Champions league winner. Think many would take that. Prob his motivation went down after that.

The one player that always come to my mind when similar lists are made is Mario Balotelli. He had his problems outside and inside of the pitch but he also had the potential to be one of Italy's best strikers of the 21st century. He was a beast on FIFA 14 as well.

Tanguy Ndombele would legit be top 5 midfielders in the world if he laid off the McDonalds and put hardwork in.

Kalvin Phillips was great at Leeds he just needs to find his way again

"Ruined their careers in seconds", goes on to highlight player issues persisting for years until eventually nobody wanted them. Mate your content is top notch, no need to clickbait, here I thought that these people were caught snorting coke off club toilets or sum shit like that.

This was before my time but Sebastian Deisler was seen as Germany's new big talent in the early 2000s. Injuries and severe depression destroyed his confidence. I think he retired in his 20s while at Bayern saying "I don't have what it takes. This life isn't for me." I think if the weight of expectations weren't as immense, it would've worked out differently. "I was 19, 20, when the Germans believed I could save their football on my own." - Sebastian Deisler

This title doesn’t fit this video at all

Main player who I’ve surprised you didn’t add was Adriano. The career he could of had if his father didn’t pass away when he did

oscar is a big one for me since ive been a chelsea fan my whole life. seeing him leave for money was one of my biggest upsets for the club.

Nile ranger definitely comes to mind, given so many chances and was quality but just kept ruining it for himself. Always a disappointing story to hear

Would love to see a video focusing on dele alli as he is quite a confusing player with a confusing background
  • @oza1302
Honestly, that was way more delicately handled than I thought it would be. Compliments!

3:50 Tbf, his father was also a footballer. He even played for America as well. But the same thing could still apply to Giovanni. In a way, once you reach fame, you see football differently. And as a Mexican American it still hurts me he didn’t reach his full potential

I'm surprised Adel Taarabt isn't on this list but i guess he did sort of claw it back at Benfica later on
