  • At this point, Imma need for Rajiv to host some kind of Slow Living getaway course where we all practice the things he teaches on his channel.

I feel like I’m part of the ‘Finer Things Club’ when I watch these videos

I'm Indigenous Australian and have to point out that all eucalyptus species are native to Australia and have medicinal properties that have been used by First Nations people on this continent for millennia.

I’m in my mid 30s and recently learned that I’m autistic; I think the reason I’ve loved Rajiv’s videos so much is because of the fine attention to detail. My brain doesn’t filter out things; I think in pictures and everything in my visual environment enters in with high detail. Learning how to edit and curate my environment keeps me from getting overwhelmed and burning out. Thanks, Rajiv, for the wonderful content and ideas.
  • My husband and I live in a 1946 cottage in the mountains and it was a horrible mess when we bought it. The main bathroom was unuseable, so we remodeled the little 3/4 bath first while saving to do the main bathroom. We decided to put in a large claw foot tub instead of a shower when we finally remodeled it. I have fibromyalgia and my doctor was always recommending epsom salt baths. I have always been a shower person, but I decided to switch to baths to see if it helped me and I cannot say enough about having a bath. I too take my laptop in and watch a movie or show while soaking in the tub. I am also a soapmaker, so I make my own solid bubble bath bars, bath bombs and goat milk soaps. My pain goes way down after soaking in a hot epsom salt bath and my skin is so much softer from my bubble bars. I also now take the time to properly moisturize my skin after I get out of the bath. Yes, it takes me longer than showering, but I am 66 years old and have worked hard all my life and raised 4 daughters so I feel I can now spare an hour to care for myself. Had I been taking better care of myself all along, perhaps I wouldn't be in the shape I am in now. Ladies, make your hubbies watch those babies so you can take an hour to yourself. It will raise your spirits immensely and everyone will benefit as a result.
  • I am lucky enough to live in the country in Northern California and we have installed an outdoor shower. To have a warm breeze caress you as you shower with birdsong in the background is heavenly. Clouds overhead, the fragrance from flowers in the garden and standing on smooth river rock as you shower is so relaxing.

The fact that slow-beauty-living Rajiv gets bored in baths so he watches tv shows has never made me feel more vindicated! Hahaha Thank you for sharing
  • I hate cleaning the tub so I started taking fancy baths! You are right! Can't have a fancy bath with a dirty tub! 😂
  • Can u PLEASE make more "how to beautify" vids? They cleanse my soul
  • @leigilmore
Thanks for the shout out to all us moms out here 🥰
  • No, the little children start knocking on the door as soon as you go in the bathroom. “Mama, I waiting!”
  • for decades, I've wanted to use eucalyptus in the shower and now I think the time has come!! lovely!
  • @DavidDel88
Eucalyptus- Australian. The one you have there, “baby blue” or “silver dollar”

Gaudy plastic shampoo bottles, neon toothbrushes, etc… I do my best to get rid of all of it, sometimes you can remove the stick on label and just have a lovely plain bottle and I found a beautiful crystal clear toothbrush on Amazon! Aaahhhhh… It’s tempting to put a bunch of colorful “fun” things in the bathroom but if I stay disciplined and just stick to minimalism and neutrals, bathing becomes exquisite in a spa like atmosphere. I also love a Japanese zen asthetic, with all those natural materials, textures and minimalism. Just beautiful and serene. Great video teaching others about this very special time we can give ourselves!
  • As a home designer, I’m so impressed with how you made that relatively ugly bathroom look thoughtful & curated just with the intentional use of color & material. Kudos👌
  • Rajiv, I was just stepping into the bathroom to take a warm bath (as a mom of little ones) and I thought I’d listen to a video and this one popped up! Perfect timing as usual. Thanks friend!

Not a fancy lady by any means, but I always take eucalyptus (from flowers I receive) to hang in the shower! It makes the bath feel like a sanctuary. 🍃
  • I appreciate any towel without that (Dobby / dobbin?) decorative strip across either end of the towel a few inches in from the end that always react differently to washing and drying than the rest of the towel. They always shrink more than the towel and ruin its look after one wash. I search towels that do not have that and I love them. The official “weight” of the cotton is important too the absorbency too. Get the heaviest you can.
