Exploring the town of Kalkan, Türkiye

Very nice walk, and interesting town to visit.

In April of 1963 I came to Kalkan from Istanbul, riding a scooter and after crossing the Toros Mountains, following dirt trails. Stayed one night in Kalkan at a so called Hotel that had only 2 or 3 rooms. Next morning I could not find a gas station for the scooter which was running out of gas. Someone took me to a house where the owner had a barrel of gasoline in his back yard. He used a ladle to fill the tank of my scooter. However, he also provided the information about how to get to a nearby ancient cemetery located on both sides of a small stream where two story high marble tombs were lined up for more than a mile. Interestingly only a scooter could take someone to that cemetery, after taking a long trail which took me almost an hour. Following the stream I ended up at a beautiful beach which displayed a magnificent marble amphitheater facing the sea. I have no idea how the whole place looks like today, since I way been away for almost 60 years ?
