The most famous listing on Airbnb is President Trump's childhood home, where you can stay for $800 a night, but is it worth it? Inside Edition rented the home and it was up to reporter Steven Fabian to find out if the house was as extravagant as the cost would suggest. It's located in the affluent Jamaica Estates neighborhood in Queens, N.Y., a 40-minute drive from Trump Tower in midtown Manhattan. From the outside, the house appears to be in great condition, but once inside, it's another story. #InsideEdition

All of you saying he's overreacting he literally payed 800 a night

To everyone saying “it’s an ordinary home” and that they’re overreacting, I respectfully disagree. If I’m paying $800 a night I’d expect the bare minimums, such as hot water, clean sheets, and clean appliances, just like we would expect out of any other hotel or rental.

I've payed $60 a night for an Airbnb and everything was clean. It's A PRIORITY to at least take the garbage out, clean up, wash the bedding, and make the bed. It's a sanitary issue if you haven't. And then let's add in the fact this is $800 a night. Pathetic and disgusting
  • That is not run by Trump that is not owned by Trump whoever is renting out that house is not doing a very good job about it and just using that Trump lived in it once as an excuse to up charge and to have a poorly managed Airbnb you can rent a suite at the hotel in New York cheaper per night and get a better experience

I thought his childhood home would be a mansion...who lied to me

My family owns a home that we rent out on Homeaway. My mom spends hours making sure that the house is perfect for our renters. To the people saying it isn't a big deal, it most certainly is.

I LOST IT WHEN THEY SHOWED THE SIGN IN HIS PARENTS ROOM 😂😂

If you're paying 800 a night, you too would expect a CLEAN house, with utilities that have not been shut off. You're paying for a house, which should include a working kitchen.

Love how everyone’s like ‘oh it isn’t that bad!’ But if y’all were paying $800 a night for a hotel, and the water was cold, trash wasn’t empty, coffee machine was unclean, sheets unchanged, etc, I’m sure you’d be singing a different tune. It should look like whoever stayed previously was never there, especially for that price.

I bet after he “head to bed” he turned on the light and put his shoes back on and went home instead. 😂 Edit: holy cow, thanks y’all.

Hot water, clean sheets, empty garbage and a working stove is BARE MINIMUM.
  • @letsbereal8188
Yuck! Even at a cheap hotel, you get clean sheets, hot water, and empty trash cans.

I'm no trump supporter but I think the reason why your hating on the house is because you don't like him

When that picky friend comes over

I like when news calls out expensive places that aren’t giving the standards they should!!!!!
  • @gawd4582
Oh you can tell they don't clean it in between guest. That's gross.
  • @CM-iv9vk
The cleaning company or the property management company would be the ones to blame. I have a question, for $800 a night , why is no one going out to check in between guests and stock items and check that everything works? That's a lot of money to pay to stay in a house for a night to be uncomfortable. If I were the owner of the property, I would be finding a new company to oversee it.

i made this comment when I was like 12 or 11 so I just edited it now lol

I think we need to redefine ‘disgusting mess’. Watch an episode of hoarders and then see what a disgusting mess is. Thing were not top notch for $800.
