Disclaimer: Due to copyright restrictions, I have had to mute certain portions of this video. Most of the video is still intact, but the random dropouts in the first minute and from around 9:30 to 11:00 are audio I had to mute. I tried to dispute this, but it was sadly rejected. I will get a link to the unaltered version in the comments.

Here is a collection of all the available footage from the Beatles' rehearsal session for Blackbird at Studio 2 in EMI. This footage was mainly shot for use in the Apple promotional video, but thanks to a variety of sources, we have a lot of the outtakes and audio as well! A huge thanks to ‪@kq8923‬ , ‪@juancena3073‬ , and ‪@ledzepfilm‬ who helped me in syncing and accurately assembling this. I hope you all enjoy! :)

Paul is just bursting with creativity and musicality.

Helter Skelter, that sweet little acoustic tune!

Those of us who are of age being Beatle freaks back then in the 60's would've loved to have seen videos like this back then. Pretty special to see now.

Sad. You see the roots of The Beatles’ fracture and break up right there. Paul’s trying as hard as he can to “lure” or “temp” John into joining him but John’s owned by Yoko now and if she can’t be part of the process, she’s not going to let John be either.

"Blackbird" was the very first finger-picked song I ever learned on the guitar. 40+ year later, my now-arthritic fingers can STILL play it, using sheer force-of-will. 😃

Only McCartney could make bowling shoes top tier epicness.
  • It must have been great being Macca. You’ve just written an incredible song, you’ve got your ‘fancy woman’ sitting adoringly at your feet and your feet are sporting the best shoes ever made. Not too shabby.

Notice how all the other staff, sound technicians etc are all wearing shirts, ties and suits. A very different world back then.
