Comparing iPhone 15 to iPhone 12 making video at night. I borrowed an iPhone 15 to see how much better it is taking some videos than my iPhone 12. I left my chainsaw out in the woods, thinking I would need it in that spot next day. I saw a bear earlier that day and saw on my game camera there has been a bear hanging around the past few days. The bear tore up my gate post and I am concerned it might tear up my chainsaw too. Bears do that kind of thing. I have had them tear up gas tanks and oil tanks, including those that are on things like chainsaws. I decided this was a good opportunity to rescue the chainsaw and compare the two IPhones taking video at night. I used my Wuben E7 headlamp.

I splurged on a 15PM 6 months ago and the camera continues to impress me. I upgraded from a Gen 1 SE, but both my wife and DIL who have new phones notice the difference. As long as I get 6 years out of this phone like the SE then I’m Ok.

chuckle. Meanwhile, out walking alone in the woods at night, with bear(s) in the woods ;) And yes, side by side, the 15 is visibly better. The 12 isn't bad, but the comparison has a clear winner.

problem with firing your cameraman, is then you'd have to hire a replacement, and the replacement would probably expect to be paid. I'm waiting for the city slickers to say you need to install streetlights in your woods.
