Thanks for enlarging many of your forecast maps to include Idaho and NW Montana! Great synopsis as usual. 😁
  • Greetings from Friday Harbor, nice rain Monday & the marine layer has been thick the last 2 mornings. Alot of horns on the water with the heavy fog. Looking forward to warming up but then not much wind for sailing. Cheers Michael
  • I enjoyed the cooler weather and my garden loved the 0.14” of rain. The Tempest station works great, it’s great to know exactly how much rain my yard got, not how wet the pavement got at the airport. Thanks for your great info

Great presentation, Michael! The more often I watch your videos, the more I understand. The smoke and lightning potentials are especially helpful.

Have a great day Michael! And yes I've been enjoying this cooler weather. ahhh 😎
  • Thank you for including the Tri Cities in some of your graphics. It is helpful to get your perspective on our weather potentials as you are extremely competent and thorough in your forecasting. You are well worth the time watching your weather videos.

This July will end up as the warmest on record in Spokane, approximately 78.2 degrees.Record is 77.5 set in 2021.

Anytime the term "X degrees above average" is used, the 'average' is generally a recent historic 30 year (I believe) value. If a 100 year 'average' were taken (a more honest figure), then X would be substantially larger. I look at 2024 as the year that climate change, coast to coast, really ratcheted up.

Ugh, Boss, I didn’t return to Washington from Texas because of this! But I worry about the drought maps and what yearly drought accumulation does to area aquifers. ❤❤❤

Hey Michael, that little rain lasted about 2 minutes when the sun came up this morning. Now it's hot. I may have to close things up pretty soon and turn on the air. Not much smoke today. Not much containment either. Oops I shouldn't say that. It may trigger a firefighter to explain to me what containment means. 0% containment. LOL. Get over it!

Did the rains help put out fires in BC, Washington, and Oregon??
