Limiting the people protects the formations but also makes for a better experience because you aren’t battling other people for photos and can enjoy the area in peace

Glad you got to see it. I did the Wave last December. I got lucky and got a permit on my first try. Followed up with Angels Landing the next day. Two bucket list hikes I will never forget.

Very glad you got to see this Josh! I was lucky enough to get a permit on my first attempt, and wasn't even planning to apply. Made friends with some strangers at Zion and we won the lottery the next day. Truly an other worldy experience that's more that just the Wave itself. Thanks for bringing back great memories!

I've seen countless numbers of videos and photos of the Wave and it never gets old. I think I should try for a permit for next spring and try my luck before I get too old.
