  • Wow this was so beautiful, your art, your voice, your explanation! I really want to take a guo hua class now, do you mind sharing where you took yours? Thank you xx
  • The amount of detail you put not only into your art but also video production is so refreshing. Sometimes it can be simple and comforting to see an overhead look of a desk, or a screen recording but putting so much effort into the visuals really helps make the video so much more engaging as well as crafting a story by putting us into the same environment you were in. Really looking forward to any and all content you produce and wish you the best of luck in school! Thank you so much for sharing with us :)
  • You are so incredibly talented... I can't wait to see what the future has in store for you
  • I love hearing about the your experiences, observations, and what directly impacted each decision you made I in this art piece. It helps me to think more critically about my own creations. 💛💛
  • How the hell are you SO underrated?!?!? You are the definition of high quality videos, it's a pity the algorithm doesn't tend to promote that.
  • Of course your work is nice but I like how you are smart and that your observations are interesting.
  • Wow... I love EVERYTHING about this. I’m serious. Love the concept for the video, and the fact that you shared your entire process. As a fellow artist, I really enjoyed hearing what was in your head while you made this piece- the sentiment truly contributes to the art. Love the amazing video transitions, other video effects and cinematography in all your shots. The starting sequence is so clever! Also like always, love your art. You genuinely have such a beautiful, dynamic style! I can only imagine how long this took, and how much effort you put into it. Thank you for sharing this w us (I also noticed and appreciate how you mentioned your brushes/ other resources in the description, thank you for that!)
  • I LOVE this. Every single time I go to a gallery and museum I actually spend so much time looking at the art and thinking “I need to know how they made this” I’m always so intrigued by what the process is like, so pls make more videos like this
  • I grew up in Shanghai. I never really liked it much but after I left for college, I realised how much I got used to it. The moment I saw the title of this video while scrolling on your channel, I knew that I was going to shed some tears. I severely underestimated it. This video genuinely made me bawl my eyes out. I love your art style, the way you see the world and how you put things into words. You mentioned in the video that you weren’t completely satisfied with this piece. I don’t know much about art but I’m begging you to reconsider. The color palette reflects perfectly the old streets I used to wander around, in hazy summer afternoons, holding my fathers hand. Your talent for evoking emotions through art is absolutely incredible.
  • This is such a beautifully edited video. The visuals alone are such a treat but the stories behind are more than worth while! Its always been one of my personal fav parts of social media/online sharing, that artists can share as little or as much as they choose about the creation process. Personally, in a world full of nonartists who (tend) to consume artwork at faster and faster speeds, I find its important to show just how much goes into even a thumbnail. And it really was a treat to see every detail that went into this painting. The themes of old versus new, or old coming together with new shines through and has me feeling inspired and ready to create. Really appreciate this! And cant wait to see what else you create!
  • It is so enjoyable to see the thought you put into one art piece. This will honestly change my view on how I perceive art.
  • This is so beautifully put together! And your voice is so relaxing wow
  • You're now one of my inspirations being an artist ♡ such aesthetics and emotions, you're a true artist! And we have the same taste in graphic design! I'm glad I found you here! I have a resume and a portfolio to do now, so thank you for pushing me to do my best with all my heart.
  • not me just realizing you have less than 1M-HOW YOU'RE SO GOOD
  • i am in love with your videos. they are so mesmerizing to watch and listen you talk, you have inspired me to continue pursuing art. please keep on making more videos, you deserve more recognition !!
  • Very nicely put together video! Super nostalgic and modern. It's been a while since I have been in Shanghai brings back all the memories.
  • I am in the middle of falling down the rabbit hole that is your channel. Your work is wonderful but as a westerner who did time at NYU Shanghai, the thoughts and focus on food here especially hooked me. Incredible stuff!
  • 0 dislikes, that’s the power of your art. I love this painting, it leaves me stunned
  • I really enjoyed this! As someone who had the pleasure of visiting Shanghai last year you summed up the experience beautifully. I think your final painting really has that lived-in feeling that makes me feel quite nostalgic
  • My words! I love how you put your perspective in this video so much. It's like I'm traveling with you. I've never been to Shang Hai but now I do think about getting there someday! Also, your painting is beautiful. I love how loose yet captivated it is. Thanks for making this vid. I'm looking forward for the next one! Cheers!
