Cut my last CC ($300 limit) seven years ago, paid off the house three years ago, made my last $300 car payment Friday. On $37,000/year I'M DEBT FREE! Car payments will be diverted to investments.

9k left of 33,000 in student loans making 55k. Less than 5 digits finally I can see the finish line

I grew up in a basement apartment.. Mom , Dad and three kids. When I was 11 years old, my dad built us a house. Bigger than the apartment, but nothing fancy. People now want it all and live above their means.
  • Making money is not the same as keeping it there is a reason why investments aren't well taught in schools, the examples you gave are well stationed, the market crisis gave me my first millions, people shy away from hard times, I embrace them.. well at least my advisor does lol.

This is why I like the move in silence “movement”. How did her uncle know she had that money? When you live in a super dysfunctional family and you want to get ahead, one way of doing that is keeping your plans to yourself.

I strongly agree with downsizing to have the wife stay at home during those years. I grew up with a stay at home mom and I wouldn't have traded that for a better house to live in. Much better to have a parent at home to bring up the kids if possible.

35:00 this hits home 😢... smh where was Ramsey 30plus yrs ago... it's like you have a crystal ball .... I am 49yrs old and I am just starting to learn how to say "no" and not feel guilty about it

Don’t ever lend any money you are going to be needing down the road. Lend money only if you are ok to part away with, if you get it back it is a win, if you don’t then the thing you lose is trust on that person.

1:13:00 "Very little debt, just $50k" Dude... I would consider that swimming in debt since it's not his mortgage.

“Unless you’re buying me a new car…” “Well, indirectly!!” 😂🤣
  • @alanefoug1025
I really agree, don't listen to broke people tell you what to do with money! I did that years ago, big mistake:(
  • @KidaKuro
I live by, I don't lend money unless I'm writing it off as never getting it back. Then even if their "intention" is to repay me, it won't hurt me because it is no longer accounted for.
  • George, I love the fact that you drive an '09 Honda Accord with body damage! Drive on.

  • My dad did this to me and my mom forced him to pay me back. She never got her money back. I just now got out of debt. It took many years.
  • @TheKatieKotte
He actually did this to her when she was 18 as it was a year and a half ago. Which makes this so, so, so, much worse.
