  • This is my debt free scream … Paid off the mortgage today… Thank you Dave for putting me on the track four years ago
  • I am living proof of this philosophy. I only earn (by choice) $30k a year, but because I have zero debt, I live with a greater sense of freedom and comfort. Paid off my mortgage 13 years early by doubling up on payments and paid for a car with cash. I own everything I need and do not spend frivolously. My mind is blown when I hear of folks earning $400k who can barely make it. I tell people that it's not what you earn, it's what you spend. Now if we could only get our government to adhere to this rule, all of our lives would improve.

Headed to sell my convertible now to start paying down my debt. Here we go!!! God Bless You All!!!
  • It doesn't matter how much you earn if you don't have a budget and follow it. Debt free 3yrs ago, no mortgage and 3 cars debt free. It feels amazing🎉

The truck driver dude forgot to mention that he left his wife 9 days before her getting their baby. He also said he wanted a van and she wanted an SUV. She got the van, so she actually bought what he wanted to buy. To me, her buying a car they need for multiple kids is nothing compared to him leaving her right before baby arrives. Who does that?

This title is true. I live comfortably, have all the conventional services, reserves in the CU, hate banks and credit cards,, and 20% going to retirement, and do it on $37k. The key is I mind the budget and I'm DEBT FREE!

Aside from Dave, I think George is my favorite Ramsey personality!

Dave: "Coffee's free when you work here." George: "It's an amazing perk." Sailed right over Dave's head. 🤣

I wish someone told me when I was in my early 20s that I could roll my 401K into another IRA whenever I leave a company. I always thought I had to pull all the money out. Lost all future compound interest. I knew absolutely nothing about investing and retirement.

“It’s gonna rain”, “GOK FUND”. Dave is the best with a smile. I love George. If I could pick someone’s brain it would be Dave but George has the best humor also. George and Millionaire in a Tesla is so fun.
  • I was 21 when I got my first car. My parents bought my first car but it was meant to be theirs. I ended up with it but they paid 8,000 with a payment. I paid 200 a month on top of their 200 payment to pay it off faster. Basically I ended up paying 4,000 toward my first car and it felt like an accomplished something. I completely agree with having the kids pay half and the parents match it instead of buying the car outright for the kids.

"You're one of those teachers that wants to actually teach kids"😂😂😂😂😂
  • @margie909
"I'll try to keep it brief" is code for it's not gonna be brief.
  • @danmuyres5158
Worse advice every for the teacher choosing between $1800 a month for life vs a lump sum of $110000. Unless she happens to be in poor health or is upper 70’s. The monthly is the way to go and its not even close.
  • @Blitcliffe
Currently I'm just being smart and frugal with my money, I'm in the green 47% over the last 15 months and l've accumulated over $700K in pure profits from DCA’ing into stocks, ETFs, dividends and futures. However I’ve been in the red for a month now. I work hard for my money, so investing is making me a nervous sad wreck. I don’t know if I should sell everything, sit and just wait.
