    Dr. Rajani, I am SO glad you're using this platform to not just provide excellent information on aesthetics, but also REAL health! I've been warning friends for years about the dangers of calcium, given that it's touted in mainstream media as a preventative to osteoporosis. Thank you for reaching so many more of us on this - and many other - important topics!

    Before you supplement with D3/K2, it's important to test your D3 level to know how much to supplement with. My initial vitamin D3 result was 32 ng/mL (Optimal Range: 60-80 ng/mL). I learned from a Vitamin D Wellness forum to supplement with 10,000 IU D3 (with co-factors) at first. Once my levels got to 50 ng/mL or so, I reduced that to 5,000 IU/day with co-factors. Now that I'm at 78 ng/mL, my maintenance dose is 3,000 IU D3 + co-factors. Test. Don't Guess!

    Hi, Dr. Rajani. I found out about Calcium being unsafe by another Doctor on Youtube about 3 months ago. So, it's great you're also informing people about this.
  • It's so good to see you not only focus on outward appearances such as cosmetic treatments and skin care but also our inner health such as our diet and supplementation. You are really holistic doctor taking care of women's health. My dentist recommended me to take calcium of which I did for several months. But I found out about this calcification in arteries that may happen and I started taking K2 with the calcium. But in the end I decided I will abandon calcium supplementation altogether just in case. I also had a cardiac calcium score done and thankfully it is zero. I just make sure I get my calcium from my diet such as bean curd, soy, tofu, almond milk and low fat milk...

    I have been to several doctors because of nerve tingling in my fingertips and toes and no doctor has said it might be because of menopause. Thank you, Dr. Rajani, for providing an excellent service in educating women.
  • I have been getting my calcium from eggshells. Boil them for 20 minutes, then dry them in the oven for another 20 minutes. Put the dry shells in blender till it becomes powder.

    Excellent presentation. I’m so appreciative of this video Dr. Rajani. I’ve been taking K2 for a year now after learning about it from you. But for years I’ve been berating myself for not taking calcium supplements. I bought a high quality one from Seraphim Labs that make the Perque line, but they would often get caught in my throat so I kept meaning to crush them in a mortar and add to juice, but I didn’t! Now I’m really glad for that. Several of the foods with calcium are staples in my diet. Very informative about the tests you mentioned.😂👍🐮

    Great video! ❤ My mom is mid 70s, and said to have osteoporosis (Dexa scans are actually not accurate—I advise everyone to research it), and she took a very bad fall to her hip and didn’t even get a fracture. She eats real food, she does a little exercise, and she uses a whole body vibration machine about 10 minutes a day, which is known to increase bone density. *Note: While jumping on solid ground can also build bone, it can also quickly cause joint damage, especially if you’re older. If you prefer jumping, please get a quality (not cheap) rebounder (mini trampoline) with a soft bounce. *Note: WBV machines need to be a high frequency of 30Hz and a low intensity vibration.

    So true I had a heart attack at 45 year old after taking cheap supermarket calcium supplements as I have always had thin bones and thought it would help but it caused both the main arteries into my heart to become almost completely blocked I was extremely lucky I live round the corner from a main hospital or I wouldn’t be here now obviously I would never take calcium tablets again but I do take vitamin mk-7 now just in case.
  • Good info , however my doctor said it must be balanced by high doses of the correct type of D3 and K2 and he also said it must be balanced with magnesium and boron this has been a blessing for me.
