10 years ago I healed from stage 4 cancer via a natural protocol. Sprouted broccoli seeds were an important daily ritual for me.

Thank you for a great video! I have one suggestion, which is to pour off all that rinse water into a bucket to use for watering houseplants or in the garden - especially if you live in a dry climate.

I’ve been growing broccoli sprouts for many years. I recommend rinsing them as often as possible throughout the day to prevent them from spoiling - something that can happen very easily and quickly. I keep mine right next to the kitchen sink so it’s easy to just rinse each time I am there (about five times a day is good). I harvest mine (the final rinse in a bowl of water) by agitating them back and forth vigorously with a fork so that the seed hulls accumulate around the edge of the bowl, then scoop the sprouts out from the middle. Do NOT eat the seed hulls. I find they harbor bacteria, and I am guessing that they also contain a lot of lectins.
  • Jeff - this was a GREAT tutorial. The length of it didn’t bother me, as you patiently explained each step. The visual was great from day to day.

Thanks for the tip on not consuming the sprouts with diary products! This is the only place where this crucial tip is mentioned.
  • OMG! You should get a YouTube Video of Excellence award! I was very unsure on how to sprout seeds, but now after watching your video I have faith I can do this. I liked the variety of background music that you played in your video. I also enjoyed watching your clear and understandable day-by-day instructions. You have great pedagogy skills! Thank You so much.
  • I kept my jars in the kitchen with natural light and they did just fine. I put too many seeds in each jar, so will use less next time. I did not need to spend money on mason jars, as I had a collection of used beetroot jars! Although they had metal tops/lids, I pierced lots of small holes in the lids, which enables me to drain out the water and not lose the seeds! Result, nice green and crunchy sprouts! I froze some as well 👌 Going to start some more today 😊
  • This appeared in my feed after watching a Dr. Berg video on broccoli sprouts and their health benifits. Thank you SO much for your step-by-step video and tips! Gonna give sprouting a go.👍
  • I watched this for my mom who has stage 4 cancer and I read that broccoli sprouts are very good at fighting cancer.
