The dog is not fearless - it’s playful and unaware of the danger in front of it.

Knowing that there is potential prey/food located there, the mountain lion will be back for that dog. Never leave your dog outside unattended from now on.

FYI: if your pet ever has an encounter like this, do not let them outside unattended for the foreseeable future. The predator now sees that there is prey and will repeatedly come back to the house.

The mountain lion was very lucky that there was a thick glass door between them.

Never leave your door unlocked. He was looking for a way to get in. He could even accidentley hit the door handle and let himself in.

What’s more scary is this cat is not gonna forget this encounter and is going to stick around.

He wasn’t staring down the mountain lion, in fact his tail was wagging. He wanted to make a new friend. I’m glad there was a door between them.
