Hope you enjoyed :). My plans for the next video are likely Doom 3!

Can't wait for that Gears Of War E-Day Insane run!

The fact you dumped the lancer for a hammerburst and kept the gnasher hurts my brain. The gnasher is useless on insane. By the time you get close enough to use it effectively, you're already dead. Double ar is usually the way to go since you can always get ammo for both. Typically I only grab the boomshots if I run super reload mutator so I can kill gunkers in one hit if I need to clutch like on the bridge section.

Hey just a friendly tip active reload single Handley carried me through this that’s was very important to make your gun A LOT stronger ( you can use this in all the games)
  • @keifcuadras9742
The 2 gunkers outside the stadium part is really tough but there is a trick where if you shoot a boomshot in a specific spot between the pods you can destroy them before they spawn the gunkers killing them immediately

I played through the entire Gears 3 campaign in 4 player co-op on insane back in the day. I don’t think I ever got the final achievement because the last mission was so hard that we took turns having one player be on insane difficulty and the rest of the players would be on an easier difficulty, but we never got to my turn 😢

Love gears. The key to insane for the most part is patience, but there are parts of the gears 3 insane campaign where your best bet is to just run at the enemy and try and grenade tag it, like the 2 gunkers who attack outside the stadium

I beat Gears of War 3 on insane twice, playing with a different buddy each time. That was when my friends & I would play GoW multiplayer. When Gears 5 came out, I tried to do an insane playthrough as well (like I had with every game in the franchise outside of.... maybe Gears 1), but I repeatedly died like I never died before. My buddy who was playing w/ me got pissed & stopped wanting to play, so I havent beaten Gears 5. It's the reason why, imo, Gears 5 is the most difficult game in the franchise.

me and my lil brother did this years ago during the summer when we were like 12 and 10 and i still remember how absolutely satisfying finally beating myrrah was, the tempest fight took us WEEKS to beat lol! still one of my all time fav memories having to go thru total hell together

I’ve beaten the entire trilogy on insane and I can say for sure that the barg part in this game is by far the hardest most frustrating part of all the games and that’s saying something. I literally had to look up a guide and even then it’s almost complete luck. The trick is staying behind the building in the middle at the right angle where you MIGHT NOT get hit by the explosions. Even then you’re constantly being flanked by elite Therons. I never wanna do that again 💀

I feel your pain, man. Like you said, Insane really does have a learning curve. For example, on the Gunker sections in Act 1, I found out that there are a bunch of Boomshots lying around. They make taking those guys out a lot easier. However, you have to go out of your way to find them. Also, while fighting the Serapedes in the drydock, I ended up luring them away from everyone while my squad took on the Armored Kantus. Then I hopped back and forth over a long barricade as the Serapedes crawled around it so that I could shoot them from behind. These tactics really helped make those sections easier for me. If (for some unholy reason) you ever play on Insane again, I recommend trying them out.

It is absolutely pathetic that this game was not cleaned up and given an official PC port.
  • @coryn6507
i remember getting this achievement almost 5 years ago, it wasn’t just the whole game i had to go through but the final boss now that one drove me literally insane. Despite the craziness i just kept going and going and going until i finally FINISHED HER!

I started an insane campaign on 3 not too long ago. Bruh, the bridge section to get to the stadium made me rage harder than I have in a long time.
  • Insane was harder no doubt, but once I slowed down, stopped being so aggressive, it became my preferred way to play the campaign, especially on couch co-op. It just feels more intense because if you mess up you wont survive. The ammo consumption is a problem though. Boltok is king.
  • Man it would have been cool if Gears 3 ever got a sequel. Oh well to bad that never happened. A shame really.
  • @violated5H4RK
When I did this back in the day solo as well I found out you could actually stick the gunker with a grenade and it’s a one” shot” kill I mean it’s faster than waiting for your squad to take care of them.
  • the hardest part of the whole game for me was the bridge gunker, it would insta hit after the stadium section when you use the rail and the rail stops.
  • Man my younger brother and I would go through insane on all of the gears of war games. It was like as soon as we beat gow 1 on insane it was the expectation moving forward and the rest of the installments.
  • I feel your pain. I compleyed it to prove my metal as a gear but got all three games insane achievements. I did it solo as im a lone wolf. Fun fact when i finished this at my uni flat and made one of my flatmates run to the kitchen asking what happened he flipped when he saw i beat it after hes seen me go through this for days. I had classes and final work to do.
