INSANE Colorado Mountain Scenes on Bob Hamm's Iron Gorge Subdivision (Narrow Gauge)

Published 2023-07-08
WOW. I'm still blown away by Bob Hamm's incredible HOn3 Denver & Rio Grande Western and Rio Grande Southern layout. Unfortunately Bob's layout has been dismantled prior to a move, but I was able to document the layout in its final days in June 2023.

  • Wow, this looks amazing, i just love the scenery! Great music and scale speed, too!

The opening music choice kept making me look for the lady tied to the tracks with a villain twirling a mustache
  • That's some spectacular modeling! It reminds me of the Durango & Silverton which we rode in 2002. If you're ever out in Colorado it's a ride not to be missed! Actually you need two days for the D&S, one for the ride and another, or at least a half-day for the museum and collection tour. You can't get it all in one day. Love the music! The ragtime put me in the mood to avenge the USS Maine! Then the soft jazz calmed me down again! Fun video Harrison! Thanks!

If I were the crew that had to cross that trestle at 3:27, I'd be thinking hard about "deadmanning" it over 😳
  • Very well done layout, thanks for sharing. Too bad the background conversations distracted from this video.

Great video and layout. Would have preferred no music and just the train sounds.

Gidday Harrison, thanks for making this video, especially as you comment that the layout has been dismantled. Now for the whinge!!! While I'm picking that it's On30, a caption would help to prove if I'm right or wrong.🙂

Really nice model great job but the video would have been better without the music
