Are the Knicks now the favorite for the 2025 championship?

If anyone knows basketball, they know that the Knicks didn't give up the bank. This front office is playing chess, while others are playing checkers. Trust the DON💯

The NYK have put themselves in a place where not only will they compete next year, but for years to come. These guys are all mostly in their mid-20's, just hitting their primes. Thibs must be giddy with the team he is being handed. The only thing that will slow them down is getting everyone paid and staying out of the aprons if possible.
  • Young man, your take is the best and most optimistic take I've heard thus far. I've heard too much pessimism and people talking about the weaknesses rather than seeing the strengths. Everyone is talking if they could've, would've or should've as if they're making decisions. But we've all been saying that we want Mikal Bridges. Now that we have him it's not enough and we're not there yet, we need to do more, can't sign Hartenstein, need to trade Julius and Robinson. Thanks for the update and the optimism. Will subscribe. That's a promise. Keep up the good work.

Getting a player that can help them compete with an improved Sixers, champion Celtics, competitive Pacers and growing Magic, is a win! The Knicks are in Win now, and win for the next 5-6 years! Great decision bringing in Michal B!

If we look at the trade package as for Mikal Bridges, it’s an overpay. If we look at it as for the resulting team by adding Mikal, it’s a steal.
  • Ppl are dumb to say this is an overpay. What were the Knicks to do with their picks if not get exactly the player they want, who fits perfectly with this team and its chemistry, and who's a hell of a shooter and defender. The Knicks are trying to win now and if things don't work out over the next few years, all of their guys are young and will still have value if they decide to blow it up. The Knicks have a damned good team. Barring injuries, I see them as the only eastern team to challenge Boston. This team is definitely a top contender.

Great insight on Mikal's game, I agree he should thrive on the Knicks where he doesn't have to carry an offense and can play off the ball and focus more on defense. But also a luxury to have a guy capable of generating offense when they need it. Boston seems to still have the edge on paper but the Knicks may have some intangibles on their side like their deep bench and ability to crash the boards.

With both Bridges and OG Anunoby, they not only, guard the wings, they can switch on to bigs and to point guards at a high level and as far as the picks,Leon Rose is a master at acquiring draft picks,he already started doing that in this draft. Now,the only downside is they may lose Hartenstein to a team that can pay him more money, but, they still have Mitchell Robinson and I know he's been injury prone these last few seasons, but if I Hartenstein leaves, the Knicks can still go out get a decent center, who can at,least give the Knicks decent rim protection and rebound the ball or they can give Jericho Sims a shot and see if he can take that next step and keep Precious Achiuwa to help reduce Mitchell Robinson minutes, reducing the possibility of him getting injured. Either way,the Knicks are going to be problem. I know people like bringing in a big name star, but,OG showed us,how huge fit can be for a team as he took the Knicks to another level, before the injuries and I think Mikal Bridges can make a big impact, because,of the tremendous fit. We'll see what happens

One of the main things you have to look at is the contract itself, its super team friendly and gives the Knicks the flexibility to go give OG his money even after trading for Bridges. You can look at a guy like PG who makes 30+ million and is in his mid 30s which would hard cap you quickly in the new CBA. You get Bridges right at the start of his prime and continue to add to the young core. NM the chemistry he brings and defense, Knicks nailed it.

We have so many first-round picks laying around might as well throw some out there.... It also makes our players more valuable

Nobody is scared of Nick's. League needs big markets and superstars to bring eyes to stadiums and tvs
  • MoreHoops has a bright future in sports, keep the content flowing young King !
  • @HoopsWithNick
This Knicks team seriously a Thibodeau dream team, just add Jimmy Butler and Thibs would be in heaven 😂
  • I hope we win the nba championship next season or next cant wait for what the future holds for us as a knicks fan
  • @tabs1517
Great content kid! I just subscribed. Keep up the good work 🙏🏾👍🏾
  • I’m NOT sure if you mentioned this but Mikal has NOT missed a NBA game since drafted. Very important as OG is injury prone so if that continues, you keep an elite defender in your lineup throughout injuries
  • The knicks stockpiled picks for this reason. And it is a great fit. The mets will probably waste those picks but the knicks wouldnt have a high pick. Barrimg injuries, they will be good for years. And even injuries last year, they played well. Go Knicks!
