One of the best movies with the worst endings . No way Jamie Foxx outsmarts Clyde .
-
This movie makes the mistake of thinking I want to see Jamie Foxx's character win.
-
This movie is the definition of tripping at the finish line
-
The first 3/4 of this movie was a masterpiece
-
Just FYI. Clyde was the hero, and the ending sucked. Imo, lol
-
Soon as Jamie said fuck his civil rights, I was like then why you mad at him then?
-
The problem with this movie isn't so much that Clyde looks like the good guy, it's more that Nick is a terrible protagonist. In the end, he shows no remorse for his actions. Nick somehow wins the cat and mouse game, but he doesn't deserve it.
-
"I'm just gettin' warmed up. This is Von Clausewitz shit total fuckin' war." Best line in the movie.
-
I dont blame clyde for anything he did just goes to show how screwed up our justice system really is
-
I love the fact that what makes Clyde so deadly isn’t his physicality but his intellect. It’s his ability to plan several steps ahead.

Jamie Fox's character didn't learn anything about right and wrong until he was pushed into it by his enemy. That was the lesson Gerrard Butler was trying to teach him. Fox's character was more interested in a high prosecution rate at the expense of doing what was right. Our judicial systems are created for the judges and lawyers to make deals while the people they claim to represent, suffer. That's the flaw of the "Legal" system which see people as a commodity, and not a living man or woman.

super late comment, but the reason he stripped naked when the cops were coming was for his own safety. if he was clothed, the swat team could've shot him and claimed he was reaching for something in his pocket or his waistband for a potential weapon. but since he was naked, he couldnt have reached for anything, so they had no excuse for shooting him and had to take him alive.
-
You may remember Butler... as the guy who kicked a dude in the chest and into a big F-ing hole after yelling "THIS IS SPARTA"
-
I went to see this movie in the theater and when the Judges head blow up my Brother busted out Laughing and some people around us got mad
-
I'm with everyone else. Clyde shoulda won.
-
"Seven" is an oldie but goodie action/suspense thriller with Morgan Freeman & Brad Pitt - highly recommend!

This movie is so fantastic. I only wish that more people could recognize it, I remember when it came out it wasn't well received but I saw it in the theaters and was blown away. Kinda not too crazy about the ending, but I guess they gotta have the "good guys" win at the end, even though Clyde wasn't the bad guy. Its the system thats the villain in movies like this.
-
Finally someone reacted to it. I think Gerard is one of the most underestimated actors in Hollywood! Acting genius!
-
This was a great movie, now for a twist. Originally, Butler was supposed to play the ADA and Foxx was going to play the other role. They realized they should switch parts, and I'm glad they did.

I honestly didn't know that Clyde was suppose to be the bad guy until I read the back of the dvd and it gave a brief summary of what the movie was about. I always thought was a story of a tormented hero taking down slimy lawyers and broken justice system with a sad ending.
