  • having Gambit do a "My name is Jeff" was just pure magic. Chaning is amazing

The Loki series is a good example of a multiverse based story where you end up caring about a variant

They keep saying they fought too much. Guys these two characters have a lot of built up anger and are the perfect pin cushions to visually let all that anger out. Look how calm they both are afterwards it's like sex for them.

Not just 15 year olds, Ryan's Deadpool humor speaks fluent ADHD.

I must have went to a pre-screening with all obsessive Marvel fans because there was not a single moment that we all didn't have a reaction. Electra came out, we cheered, Gambit walked out and we laughed and yelled out, Blade came out and we lost our damn minds. Is this movie for everyone? No, this is a specific type of movie for a specific type of audience. Does that make it bad or weaker? In my opinion, No. I'm tired of movies that are watered down in order to TRY to appeal to "everyone."

Matt Singer strikes me as the type of person who wants to discuss filling taxes at birthday parties and won't stop, even if you try and walk away.

To answer Matt’s question, what happened in this move was that the TVA realized that anchor beings CAN be REPLACED! And that not every variant will cause a NEXUS event if put in another timeline or universe. So many doors can be opened now.

could definitely argue it was the “endgame” for the 20th century side of marvel.

come on matt. We have had very few highs over the last few years in the MCU. I think we can celebrate this movie all the incredible meta moments, references, old stars, stars that didnt get their moment, humor and sheer ballsiness to give us as much as they could. I'm sure there are reasons we didn't get EVERYTHING we wanted, but i'm so grateful for what we did get. Cheers to the Ryan and Hugh and their entire crew for this awesome movie!

    It’s if a comic book transformed into a movie. And that’s why it’s a 10/10 for me
  • @syxx7wun
That critique of the nonsensical nature of the movie had me thinking: "Stop applying logic to an illogical situation."

Did Matt actually watch the movie, or was he getting popcorn during the first 15 minutes of the film that explained how Wade discovered the Avengers and made it to 616? Wade said that he used Cable’s time travel device to get to 616 universe. He destroyed the device though—gave up trying to be a hero after that interview. He put up his costume, but Peter wanted Deadpool back. Peter wants the X-Force to be resurrected, but Wade said no.

Not having the rest of the X-Men in the movie was the right call.
  • @seanloughran6714
I absolutely loved this movie from beginning to end. As a geek watching all these movies for 25 years, this was a love letter. Loved it!
  • @anubisakira
I feel like we have entered an era where nothing is ever good enough. Unfortunately nit picking will become the end of fandom.
  • @depraved420
This movie is literally just dead pool and wolverine hanging out and becoming bros, with some great Cameo's. It was a great movie
  • @dougetue4430
Not having the other X-men kinda was the point. Allowing them to come in future movies is the right move imo. Very fun movie !
  • @GregsGameRoom
None of the X-Men were pruned so that could be why none appeared.
  • @RichRobbins
To the last point in the video - Marvel needs both quality origin stories and quality momentum stories circulating. Original stories to draw in new audiences who don’t need previous movie knowledge + Momentum stories to keep active fans engaged. The last quality origin story I’m remembering is Shang Chi. The MCU has been at this for almost 20 years. At some point you just need to know what’s going on or accept that you’ll lack understanding in certain moments. Marvel hasn’t done the best job introducing characters and seamlessly adding them to the momentum of the grander plot
