My Melbourne recommendations: check out the coffee-drinking scene, visit the Queen Victoria Markets and the NGV Triennial exhibition. Then head out of town to the Great Ocean Road and/or Mornington Peninsula. (And thanks for your fantastic videos about Bangkok and Chiang Mai which we used for our trip to Thailand last year!)

You're going to LOVE Australia! I'm from Sydney and some tips I would say would be to check out the Northern Beaches, Bondi to Coogee is nice but Aussies don't often go there as it really isn't the nicest beaches in Sydney. My favourite part of Australia would have to be the Sunshine Coast so Gold Coast, Noosa, Cairns, all of the towns along there are stunning! Byron Bay is also really nice too! Melbourne is very artsy, cool micro bars/hidden bars, great atmosphere but the weather can be a hit or miss. Perth and WA I've heard is also super nice although I haven't been there yet. Have so much fun! Fingers crossed the weather is good while your there because it's not been the best lately.

I live in sunny Perth, Western Australia. Perth is a clean, small (key word) but lively city, the beaches are some of the best in the world and a short ferry ride away is Rottnest Island, famous for its beaches and the endemic quokkas. It’s worth a relaxing long weekend stopover imo. The entire West Australian coastline is worth a spot on your future travel list too, gorgeous scenery, friendly people, etc. I’m certain you’ll both love the East Coast and NZ. Enjoy! 🌞

australia is really amazing! for the gold coast, i would recommend booking a tropical fruit tour with tropical fruit world. it's about an hour drive down from the gold coast, and the tour includes a tour of the farm with the fruit as well as all the wildlife (they have kangaroos!). there's also fruit tasting included which is totally worth it as they have all these amazing fruits that aren't so common in the US. the cafe is also really good as they incorporate the fruits into their menu so the dishes are super interesting. definitely try the custom fruit ice cream. also a tip, the tour runs on NSW time which is different from gold coast time! super excited to watch your upcoming vlogs and have fun!!
