Welcome back to Stick to Football, brought to you by SkyBet. On this week’s special episode we are delighted to be joined by former Manchester United player and manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Joined by former team-mates Gary Neville and Roy Keane alongside Ian Wright, Jamie Carragher and Jill Scott, the hosts start the show tucking into a special Norwegian stew dish, and it doesn’t take long for Roy to remind Ole of his miss against Bayer Leverkusen in the 2002 Champions League semi-finals.

Having last spent time as a manager at Manchester United, Ole reveals what really went on at the club during his tenure, including how he nearly signed Declan Rice, Erling Haaland and Jude Bellingham and what it was like working with Cristiano Ronaldo.

The man who made the 1999 Treble win possible also talks about what his winning goal against Bayern Munich and gives insight into the dressing room, telling never told before stories of what hobby Gary took up as a player and which guest Ole nearly had a fight with in the tunnel.

Finally we end on a min-quiz between Ole and Roy centred around the infamous Champions League semi-final against Bayer Leverkusen; who will have bragging rights between the former United duo?

The fact Roy would go to Norway and drive 8/9 hours to check on Ole, is the true character and captain Roy will always be. Superb!
  • @TheMoneyTourTMT
I’m not a United fan. But how anyone on this planet could dislike Ole is beyond me. Humble honesty. From day one
  • @daftmonkey7296
Even the way he asked Gary about how Phil’s doing. You can just tell he’s a sincerely nice natured person. He’s a special person is our Ole! Legend

could listen to ole all day! a true gent 👏 👏
  • @joewt290
I honestly feel Ole is too humble for his own good. He often takes all the blame because he's unwilling to point the finger elsewhere. True gentleman.
  • @mathewcooke5294
Adore Roy giving Ole stick about the goal and then finding out he went to visit Ole when he was sacked and feeling down. Admirable.

Everyone needs a Wrighty as a friend - genuinely compliments the guys, no falseness or anything, always looking to make someone feel good

Gary Neville is a genius for coming up with show like this. I actually loved the banter at the beginning when the guys were all sitting around eating lunch and cracking the jokes. Wrighty giving some fashion advice to Carra. It's great to see this group develop a rapport with each other. These other football shows don't even come close to this. Bravo everyone, love this show.

Ian Wright is the kind of man that every other man should want as their friend. Ready to take you down a peg but also ready to put an arm round your shoulder. A class act. Few and far between.
  • @ahmedmouzali665
Ole: "I nearly punched you in the face and Carlos stopped me!" Roy: "Ah we had good days together, good days" ❤️😂
  • @ryang.2351
As a Utd fan of 22 years, Ole has given me more emotional moments than any other manager post SAF and I’ll hold those memories dear. Thanks Ole🫶🏻

Honestly.. I cannot believe this level of content is just readily available for free on YouTube. As a football fan born in the early 90s this is just unreal!
  • @Japhex
I actually love how much Ole is comfortable chatting to Roy however he wants, he knows him so well he'll stand up to him unlike other guests, true mutual respect and true legends.
  • @fuzon9895
Man Utd scouts saying Haaland wasn't good enough, shows why they paid 80m for Anthony
  • @stevewheeler6120
Notice how Roy was the only one of them that thanked the stage hand for clearing their plates, little things like this speak volumes to me!
  • @ClassDynamix
I've only ever met one Premier league player in my life - that was Ole around 2006 at a hotel party in the Lake District - I can honestly say 100% that he is the nicest guy you can imagine, a really kind-hearted individual along with his family. Class act.
  • @t2411
Will never forget that 10 match winning run and singing Ole's at the wheel for weeks. It was mad, fun times. Great episode as always!
  • Man, as a lifelong Liverpool fan I have to say the amount of respect I now have for Ole is massive.
