  • Mike, You are a super cool guy. Extremely informative!! I have the same model string trimmer! I went with the Dewalt auto feed. Not too bad. But the original reason I went to your channel was the outdoor Sonos install. Have had the speakers forever on a tv in my garage where the speakers blew. However I ran speaker wiring about 6 months ago to back patio where of course my pool is etc. So I just purchased the “AMP”. Arrives tomorrow. Woohoo!! Definitely subscribing and you have so many videos that are again so informative!!! Oh, I have the kit too. So originally I purchased the Dewalt string trimmer. Then I decided to get the entire kit. Its Amazing. Sold string trimmer. Kit has string trimmer, brush cutter, pole chain saw with extension, bush trimmer and blower. They all attach to battery motor body. Anyway, thanks Mike!! You are on cool cat!! I am a dog person but you get it. Lol

I just went ahead and bought the Husqvarna trimmer head, for my Dewalt 60V trimmer. thanks for the video. Well done. Weslaco, TX

Thanks for the instructions on the line installation! I inherited a DeWalt 920. I tried a half dozen YT explanations on the spool. It would never feed out and clogged up. I did change to the smaller H. 25? model then it stopped up the first time! I decided to try a blade but couldn't get the base off! It is working now though I'm sure the line is a mess. I just ordered a Dewalt blade and pole attachment that is supposed to fit this old thing. Probably safer also.

My cutter head worked well for about 5 minutes then it kept throwing out all the line. I took it back to the shop and they replaced the cutter head with a heavier duty dewalt one. It seems to work well now but I’ll keep this video in mind if it does it again. Thank you
  • @ex8280
I did not know this, but when trimming, you can set the trimmer head on the grass and let it roll along, so you don't have to lift it. That t35 is perfect for it.
  • @Annon89
I just put a husky universal spool on my 20v and I’m so happy about it. Super easy takes 5min. Don’t wait just get rid of the auto spool thing if you go through a lot of line. It’s ok and works fine. But I’ve used the husky for years and am happy to say it works for the dewault is minimal time to change and they are bulletproof.
  • @Annon89
Husky head best I’ve ever used. Highly recommend.
  • @slayerspam
I put a stiffer spring in the head for the bump feed so it takes more force to release the line. Friggan thing is a killing machine. I'll put that trimmer against gas any day cause it shreds like you wouldn't believe
  • For the speedfeed type head (echo, Oregon, dewalts factory head, once the string isn’t wrapped instead the head, it just lets it out (they’re supposed to do it), personally, I try to save them bc I have other heads I use tht I can use them on if need b.
  • @mikedixon8741
Probably my favorite part of this video is where you are driving your zero turn mower out of your shed and you have duct tape on the mower deck! Love it. It just proves with a little enginuity duct tape can fix anything!
  • @vonr3375
I tried it and it did a great job and it works on the 20v dewalt
  • @rkgsd
The Echo Speed Feed 400 is another popular alternative.
  • Appreciate the vids. Considering this weed whacker myself. Seems like it's not flawless which is a bummer given the price point (imo). Probably will still end up buying it but will know what to expect.
  • I have that Kershaw. Probably one of the best EDC knives I have carried even over the 3x more expensive benchmade
  • @unlabeledcup
Can you attach a brush cutting blade on that instead of the string trimmer? I don't want to get an entire brush cutter accessory attachment for just a one time thing...
  • my problem with the dewalt head is that it bumps too easily, I live in the country and my yard is not perfect, I have roots etc to go around and a slight tap to the Dewalt head has it expelling more line. Does the t35 do better at this problem?
  • @Grahams-Grass
I was almost tempted till I saw you loading the line... echo speed feed way better and faster😃 ... the reason why the dewalt stock head walks because The lettering stamped on the head face acts like a tyre grip ☹️
  • @Jim12291958
Can you put grease fittings in the holes for the maintenance of the shaft instead of squeezing in the lube? Would make lubing it a lot easier... not that what you did was hard. Just wondering. Great videos. I'm a new viewer to your channel and did subscribe. Thanks for the videos.
