No game is safe from cheaters. In this video we will take a look at an extreme example of cheating in the guitar hero community. This one is pretty crazy.

  • Props to him for confessing, taking down everything, paying back the money, apologizing, and leaving the community. There is hope for him.
  • The craziest part is that doing what he did at 75% speed is STILL insanely difficult. Dude was a great player but couldn't be satisfied with not being number one.
  • 17:07 “He’s clearly not hitting the right notes” I’ll have to take your word for it lol
  • @EyeMixMusic
I love how he refers to his own cheating as "suspicious". Like, "yeah, I suspect myself of cheating, I'm conducting an internal investigation" LOL
  • @Mozicon
I love how every one of these goes like this: "I didn't cheat" "OK, those specific instances were fake" "Yeah, I was cheating the whole time"
  • You either die a Guitar Hero or live long enough to see yourself become the Guitar Villain
  • @Jabadamazo
Hey guys, here's a great rule of thumb: If someone says they only faked one thing that they're super known for, they faked way more than that.
  • He didn’t confess because he felt bad, he confessed because there was absolutely, no chance in hell he could come back from the amount of evidence they had against him. There’s nothing to celebrate in regards to him. He was forced in a corner
  • @MediHusky
Ok but can we take a second to appreciate how durable some of these controllers are made.
  • Honestly, the community routinely manages to impress me. Playing techniques such as 20:23 truly redefine what talent means.
  • @carfo
he was sorry he got caught but for the most part he handled it well--returned the money, removed the videos, left the scene, and was honest about his techniques and led to better detection of fakes
  • Gotta give credit where it's due. When he was caught, he revealed his methods, paid back the undeserved money, and fucked off. You might be saying "well yeah. That's the least he could do, doesn't make him a good person." And I agree, but a lot of people in his position do not go that route.
  • It's strange how long a cheater can last when they literally show their hands.
  • Somehow I’ve become addicted to these cheater exposed videos and I don’t even play video games! 😂 Is it just me? I’m very invested despite not touching video game controller in over a decade.
  • Absolutely loved Karl parodying a Schmooey video to show what the cheating would look like to a more experienced player.
  • @Generik_
I’ve always been impressed by how much abuse the guitars can take.
  • @Ifeno
Fun fact: Schmu (pronounced: "shmoo") is a German slang word for "scam / fraud". It seems even Schmooey's nn was indicative.
  • You know, this is the thing that would make me too terrified to ever attempt a fake speedrun, or any such thing, no matter the incentive. The fact that you are never out of the clear. Even years later someone could come along with a means of proving it was fake. I actually think this may be harder to cover up than doping or steroids in an event, because at least with those once the drug is out of your system nobody can ever prove it.
