  • If I remember correctly malgus at this point in the story isn’t technically a sith anymore. He’s still undoubtedly using dark side powers but I think he is a enemy to both Jedi and sith factions by now.
  • @FeaturingRob
At this point in the story, Darth Malgus has forsworn all allegiance to the Sith and the Empire. He is the bogeyman who keeps showing up. As a player there are many times (on Imperial side) when you can interact with him, but he doesn't show up for everyone until after the base game...and you get to fight him (both factions). He then shows up a few more times either to fight or to work with. But...Malgus believes he is beyond the Sith, beyond the Jedi and he sees through all of them. The voice of Malgus is Jamie Glover...and his father is actor Julian Glover, a LucasFilm regular. Julian played Imperial General Veers, commanding the At-AT walkers during the Battle of Hoth in 'The Empire Strikes Back', as well as American industrialist Walter Donovan in 'Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade'. Also...Grand Maester Pycelle on 'Game of Thrones'. As a SWTOR player...Malgus is hands down one of the coolest and most compelling characters ever created for 'Star Wars'. When it released yesterday...all of the SWTOR players were waiting for the servers of the game to be back up and running because the new expansion was being released and we were all in Twitch streams watching the cinematic over and over, disecting the hell out of it and just loving the hell out of it while wanting to load up the game and play. It was amazing! Thanks guys!!!

Love how this shows the similarities between the light and dark side of the force. You had the other trailers where they took the children for the dark side and you have this where she was taken for the light side.
  • @redcardinalist
What's not been mentioned (as far as I know) in any of the reactions I've watched, is the difference between the two scenes of the little girl being "chosen" and taken away from her brother. - In the first scene (at the start of the trailer) she's shown going happily with the Jedi and looking up at him. However, in the second scene of this (when she activates the machine), she's shown going less willingly and is unhappy at leaving her brother. Which is the true one I wonder?
  • The later way they detect force sensitivity is through midichlorian detection, as far as taking up Jedi children it’s usually done with family agreement, but in this case there was only a care droid, twileks weren’t exactly the best treated in that era, let alone any to be fair
  • The Sith are a specific philosophy that takes years of study and training to understand. You aren't a Sith just because you become cranky one time. Dark Jedi =/= Sith
  • @MrFredstt
A Malgus series would seriously be amazing
  • Few things. 1.) I heard that a different and less expensive to hire studio did this trailer, hence the slight dip in quality and animation style. 2.) this trailer is later in the story, after the first few cinematics. Malgus isn’t recruiting for the attack on the temple, he has left the sigh cause he dislikes certain aspects of it. The “traitor” wasn’t because he killed the first guy, it was because he’s a traitor to the empire. Also that is why (I THINK) he is interested in that machine. He prolly wants to recruit those left behind by both orders. 3) I like how malgus acted in this trailer. He didn’t try to force her to join him, he just pointed out the hypocrisy and wants her to figure things out. I bet he expects her to search him out in the future.
  • @AdeodatusX
Have they reacted to "Old Republic Sacrifice" yet?
  • @folcotook3049
I'd love an actual movie of some sort built off this style.
  • @MMAddict39
So while Malgus still harbors an intense hatred for the Jedi and Republic that pretty much exceeds any other Sith currently in existence he has also developed an equally strong hatred of the Sith Empire as well. Things like the Treaty of Coruscant, which essentially used Malgus as a distraction to broker a cease fire with the Republic (which he despised), the ineffective Dark Council, all of whom he thought were spineless idiots (except maybe Darth Marr but we never get a confirmation on that) and the overall structure of the Empire that he believes needs to be improved upon all have lead Malgus to enact his own coup in the past, which failed because of your character. Judging by some of his wording in this trailer specifically "This is how the Sith and Jedi maintain control" he's denouncing both sides and even encouraging Sa'har to break free of her bonds to the Jedi which is also unusual for Malgus since he typically would have just killed her. My running theory right now is that he is looking to forge his own order using the outcasts of both Sith and Jedi using the plans for the machine in the trailer, which has been possibly fueled by the player character's actions as the Alliance Commander which Malgus does have respect for.
  • @Reshtarc
The machine was Malgus's built to find the kids the Jedi deemed not worth. He said this is how the Sith and the Jedi maintain control. Control over the force. Malgus is no longer a Sith Lord but a Force Lord. You hear him give the "NOOOO!!!". Like Vader did when his machine was destroyed by the Jedi. As per the Sith code and so our chains are broken. He told Sa'har when She is ready ... Break Free. As Malgus has done.
  • @pattinaggiojo
thank you for reacting :D saw this yesterday and hoped it would be next up on your channel lol. i love the lore these trailers are just continually giving us, gets me so hyped xD
  • @kaizoHime
What is not said about those two siblings, but implied, is that they are born slave, or were captured really young or are about to be sold Lekku are really important and full of nerve, and Twi'lek kinda use them to speak also, and have part of their brain in it too One of the only reason one of the lekku of one Twi'lek so young is cut is either torture or punishment At the time of the game, the whole Sith Empire economy is build on slavery, and without it, the Empire would collapse on itself Jedi have a way to track force sensitive younglings, trying to save as many as possible from slavery when possible, but they only take those who are deemed sensitive enough to learn, and with the non-attachment rule, youngling in the temple are encouraged to forget about there past Sith also have means to track young force sensitive, and will take all of them, no matter how sensitive they are, voluntarily from Empire citizens, as it is seen as an honor (Sith are really powerful in the Empire society), or by force, killing the family, and then the younglings would be sent to a life of hardship in the Sith Academy They also try to rebuilt their number, as you have to keep in mind that Malgus did destroy the Jedi Temple on Coruscant 25 years or so ago The trailer end with several opened door: - The brother was sold, potentially to a Sith, maybe even to Malgus, who would be then projecting his own memory to Sa'Har, (big shadowy figure on the left side of the screen) so potentially he may be a Sith. In the past years in game, Sith have been recruiting force sensitive among their slave population (one of the sith storyline possible, you are a force sensitive slave send to the Korriban Sith Academy to test your potential) - What is she going to do? Malgus opened a door for her, but will she join the Sith, remain with the Jedi, or walk an alternative path? - Jedi and Sith numbers were even more diminished by the repetitive attacks of the brothers and their eternal empire, so now it is even more crucial for each faction to have the highest number of peoples - As the war between Republic and Empire is picking up again, conserving those number is also an imperative We have not met those two characters in game yet, but I sense great things for them In the future 😀
  • @bangormc3rd562
I think you both have good takes on this. Can the Jedi take care of every family member of everyone they recruit? No. So as far as the jedi master is concerned, he's at least saving one of the children from what looks to be a pretty miserable life. Is this a situation where he should have done more? Yes. He could have taken the brother, found him a home, given him a better life. But he didn't, because he was just there to do a job.
  • @chrism.1187
My sith warrior has a green and red saber to it was nice to see..
  • @jeriah4k218
It’s funny how they had a complete plot twist
  • @silkpursuit
The timing for this and your channel could not be more perfect
  • @freezer-monkey
I know this video is a year old, but I can't help it Here's some context Last time, you watched the Deceived trailer. Shortly after the events of that trailer, Malgus learned that the Empire was signing a peace treaty with the Republic. This greatly angered him, Malgus viewing this as a complete betrayal of him. He proceeded to lead the his troops into the Unknown Regions, claiming territory for the Empire. His chance came soon after, when the Sith Emperor "died"(he really didn't, but that's another topic). Malgus broke off from the rest of the Sith Empire, intent on claiming the throne for himself. This trailer, Disorder, is Malgus attempting to build his forces. On other thing, Malgus is like 74 in this trailer
  • A great movie to watch next is The Vast Of Night, a movie that takes place in a New Mexico town in the 1950s. The camera work and long takes are absolutely stunning! It’s free on amazing and it’s run time is 1hr and 29 minutes. I hope u this and enjoy the movie! You guys are the best movie reactors on YouTube :)
