Really hope they tone down the ragdoll on the barrager and rocket strider. Getting launched 15-20m by a miss is wild.
  • @codysing1223
The impaler can grab and throw you while you're in your Mech btw. Watch out.
  • @colin7231
Ya know, I’m glad they decided to add in more bots that ragdoll you. I don’t think there was quite enough of that before.
  • @EravinVT
This took me all day to pull together, Mind there are also rumors that the Impaler takes double damage around the V of it's face, and AT weapons can destroy the leg armor in 2-3 hits leading to another fatal hitbox. Thanks for watching guys and i'll see you for the Cook Out tomorrow :) As always my favorite comment will featured at the end of the next Video!
  • you could always spam ping the spore charger to see where its at too XD

Bot players: “I think I’ll take a hiatus from the rag doll simulator”. The hiatus:

Quick tip for fellow divers, you can one shot Impaler with a precision orbital strike if their weak point is exposed, works consistently in my experience
  • @Villager-
Anti tank mines: Triggers when infantry steps on it lmao 😅

While not being quite as dangerous as I expected, the impaler's presence in a big ol' bug fight certainly can make the struggle a bit more nerve racking. Rather than the direct threat they present themselves, their danger seems to mostly lie in restricting your movement options and herding you into other enemies. It can get nasty out there.
  • Was running with the MG-43 and had gotten close to an Impaler. Switched the rof to the highest setting and let it rip on the exposed weak point. Took a couple seconds but it got the job done.

You might be my fav helldivers channel

2:30 one hell of a surprise. Not even sure why these rocket tanks should be allowed to shoot forward, especially with no heat sink. AH design strikes again
  • @JohnFishdiver
Thanks for the help, I was having some trouble trying to find out where to shoot them with my mighty Fish Launcher!

I found that for the spore charger 2 impact grenades into the glowing green part of its butt would cause it's "acid" to explode and kill itself. Just give yourself like 8-10 meters otherwise you'll go down too.

I really like that units are completely evolving as the war goes on. The scout striders with the pilots had massive weaknesses and the bots learnt and now they are fully armoured. The Brood Commanders were getting absolutely shreaded by Blitzer/electrical weapons, so its evolved into the Alpha type which can tank more Electrical shots. A portion of the community are so angry with this update, but im really enjoying it. Its nice to have a new challenge again.

My squad and I haven't taken a big crack at the bots yet, but we were really enjoying our time fighting the bugs recently. The Impaler is a genuinely good addition to the enemy variety in my opinion. Since it seems to take up the same spot on the spawn list, it thins out the spam of Bile Titans that can sometimes rain down on the team with something different and often more manageable, though it's still a significant threat in its own way if you don't take care of it quickly.

The first time i encountered an Impaler, i walked up to it, set my MG-43 on its highest firerate, and melted its exposed head in seconds. As long as youre close to it, it seems to have trouble doing anything about you- so i recommend actually closing the distance on this one terminid rather than running away. It does have a melee attack like the chargers crush- but its windup is exceedingly longer, giving you plenty of time to back away without even needing to emergency dive like you would with a charger. Highly recommend the MG-43 for level 10 difficulty missions- have someone else pack the heavy explosives for chargers and titans, while you have a grand old time clearing fields of chaff with the machine gun. Bring a supply pack, carry some incendiary grenades to give yourself breathing room, and pack either the crossbow or grenade pistol to close holes, and youre set. My most effective loadout on level 10 so far, given that someone else is dealing with titans, is -Crossbow (for clearing bug holes. Not for self defense usually but not useless in a pinch) -Bushwacker (for emergency self defense) -Impact incendiary grenades (for making space to reload, chaff clearing when youre out of shots, or camping bug breaches) -MG-43 Machine Gun (basically my primary weapon for all combat, has the armor pen and damage to clear fields of chaff while still rendering those damn armored bile spewers completely irrelevant. Can deal with hunters, warriors, and commanders with little trouble, without having difficult to control recoil, or painfully small clip size.) -Supply Pack (mostly for yourself, but you can still be a team player with it. Keeps you topped up on machine gun ammo and incendiary grenades, so be generous when using both) -Any armor with Engineering Kit passive for the extra grenades and recoil control. Obviously light armor is best suited for bugs but i find it fun to just heavy armor up and facetank the bile and bugs that get past my bullets and fire. Medium might be a more effective middle ground, havent really tried it yet. -Always bring either the Railcannon or Precision Strike. I usually prefer Precision because it can actually deal more damage, at the cost of being a bit slower to deploy and you have to aim it more, but ever since the call-in reduction, its gone from being a good answer to bile titans, to being an AMAZING answer to bile titans. Bait them into holding still for their stomping attacks, catch them when theyre distracted and turning around, or throw it at their feet when they start inhaling for their bile, and before they get to move, they explode and instantly die. It's genuinely amazing. IF the operation has modifiers that add or orbital SCATTER, though, the precision strike is no longer precision. And thats when i pack the railcannon strike. I dont like the slow cooldown on it, but its far more reliable when you throw it, much more of a "chuck and forget" strat for the autoaim. You wont have it as often, and it cant kill a full health titan, but its guaranteed to hit at least. Bring both, if you feel like really effing over titans and chargers. If not, pack your last strategem slot with something of your own choice. Turret to cover your back, eagle strike, gas, ems, barrage- its really up to you. Depends on the situation, pick whichever will help solve the problem youre dealing with in the mission.

3:12 So much for "realism". The headpart of the tank clips through the body to aim downward LMFAO.
