All I have found so far is iron, crushed cans and some lost keys (best find) but I am having fun. What causes a false hit? The flies in Florida are on another level, like they're angry that they've even been born. Keep up the good work.

FYI, Not trying to be a Karen but unfortunately metal detecting (digging) is not allowed in Volusia county parks and certainly not allowed in state parks. I'm glad you fill in your holes but cutting plugs with a spade and using a pinpointer will expedite the digs and leave the grounds spotless. I been detecting for a very long time. I hope you find some cool stuff, maybe find some old homesites out there. Good Luck!
